Below you will find the necessary info for each event, enjoy!

The Harvest: Navigation Key
  • Basic Info
  • Event Premise
  • The Nature of the Event
  • Event Breakdown
  • How To Interpret This Event in RP
  • ....

    Basic Info:
Event Type: Open to server world scavenger event
Locations: Start in Hinterlands - End in Arathi Highlands
    Event date: December 20th
    Event time: 7 PM - 8:30 PM server time(roughly)

    Event Premise:
It’s the time before The Raising and the Forsaken are doing one last push to gather the bodies, limbs and leftover wealth of unfortunate adventurers buried in mass through graves across Azeroth. Word has reached Alliance ears that the Forsaken are on the move, digging up the dead. Now it falls to them to defend the fallen from the grasps of the devious Forsaken.

    The Nature of the Event:
This is a fun and casual event meant to bridge the time between the announcement of the The Raising and the actual event. Much of the event will be OOC, the clues (discussed below) are given completely out of character to the raid group. Players will be asked to elect a leader IC and will also be encouraged to find the locations of the nodes via RP. Anyone who attends is also welcome to adopt the narrative of this event into their character's personal story.

    Event Breakdown:
Scattered across The Hinterlands and Arathi Highlands are 5 nodes which must either be captured or defended depending on your team. The locations of these nodes will only be revealed through vague clues and riddles. It is up to each team to work together to try and crack the clue in order to discover the nodes location. After discovering a node the team will have a period of 2 mins in which they must reinforce the node. In the event that a node becomes contested each team will elect a Champion to fight on behalf of the team. This fight will be determined by a 1v1 duel done in grey armor (provided by the raid coordinators). This will be the only PVP of the event.

During the time of the 1v1 duel the players on each team are strongly encouraged to equip the Dazzling Rod toy. Each hit your character takes from the toy may be interpreted in RP as a hit your character has taken in the skirmish of the node.

The winner of the duel will decide which team claims the node. After a node has been successfully captured/defended the winning team will have a 15 second head start with the clue to the next node. Both teams will however always be competing for the same node to ensure a sense of fun and fairness.

Note: Once a champion has fought they will not be able to fight again so teams must choose their champions strategically.

How to Interpret This Event In RP:
The narrative we would like to establish is that the graveyards are a place of battle between the Horde and Alliance. The war in Draenor is coming to a close but not all have returned from the front lines; therefore the battles in this event should be considered as skirmishes instead of massive military movements.

In the pursuit of good natured entertainment we have chosen to not make this event a PVP event. However, if your character is involved in this event then you are free to take whatever hits against your character during the Dazzling Rod duels as injuries they received during the conflict. Feel free to be creative.

DISCLAIMER: If there is a larger turnout for this event then initially expected the 1v1 duel at each node will change to 3 duels of 1v1 where the team with the majority of wins from the duels takes the node. If it is necessary under this system Champions will be able to fight multiple times.

  • Rave in the Grave: Presented by the <The Might of Lordaeron> this party is sure to end the night with a bang!
  • ...
The event shall primarily be a social activity with very loose organization. Attendee’s are ultimately responsible for how much RP they get out of this event. To put it simply, the more you put in, the more you get out.

    New to Forsaken RP?
If you’re new to Forsaken roleplay this is a great time to jump in and check it out! Create a character and come mingle with new and old players alike.

To get you started here some things to consider:

How is your character going to react to being raised? Will they praise the Banshee Queen and accept their Forsaken identity? Will the process drive them mad? Or perhaps they’ll rally under a different banner and try to undo the Forsaken from within?

Who was your character prior to being raised? Do they remember who they were? Do they adopt a new identity? Do they have family they left behind?

These are just some fundamental questions to consider as you get started on your journey with your brand new character!

On the matter of Guild Pride:
As this is a community effort aimed at highlighting the Forsaken as a whole we are asking that guilds refrain from trying to actively recruit the newly risen. A character is free to identify as part of a certain guild, speak about that guild, wear that guild's tabard but we specifically ask that they do not speak of guild recruitment or use any macro’s/guild banners at this event.

Once the event has concluded guilds may recruit to their hearts content.

    FAQ:

Is this event restricted to Forsaken only?

No. However this event is meant to celebrate Forsaken RP, community and culture. To get the most out of the experience we ask that you consider rolling a brand new Forsaken character or attending on a pre-existing Forsaken alt.

How can I get involved in this?

We are currently looking for individuals interested in hosting, or assisting, with the above listed events. To sign up as a volunteer please contact Sillaine, Branntherick, or Keleril.

    Other contacts: Dayon, Immogene.

Hell yes! Looks like a great way to combine pvp and rp, but I'm a bit hazy on the pvp aspect. Is it possible to have two champions duke it out in full gear if both parties are consenting?

That's certainly something we can consider. Our biggest priority will be making sure it's as fair as possible and fun. But it will most likely remain 1 champion from each side challenging unless there's a bigger turn out, then it would get bumped to 3 champions from each side. The problem with 2 is that its possible for a draw, so might as well make it 3. Then there will always be a decisive victor.

The first one sounds great but the second one is what I really would of liked to go to as a newly risen. I would really enjoy playing a new character and meeting a gathering like this to help me in my first hours of coping with this new existence.

Being how I will be underway for both of these I think I will try to RP the Raising on this thread if there is no specific one you make later for this event. Just a little something that can be made part of my new character's backstory linking me to this glorious night.

Agreed! This sounds so fun! :D

Forsaken was the other race I was contemplating for making my debut on WoW; this will be my second chance.

    Squee!

Assuming Remgus and Tesi will be running the apothecary stall, those who are more scientifically-inclined are in for a treat!

I look forward to both events for both content and meeting new Forsaken. Victory for Sylvanas!

I'm also excited for this. I was tied up in some guild RP before and after an event and bummed I wasn't able to make it. I'm actually going to send you a message at some point, in-game, to see about an idea I had.

We're off to a great start! Many great guilds getting involved (shout out to the <Examinate>, <The Forward Line> and <Might of Lordaeron> ) and more on the way, I'm sure. A few others have also stepped in to help support the event, thank you to Colepain and Valkenhar!

With all that great news we are still looking for volunteers; specifically for merchants, Cult representatives and a fortune teller. If anyone (individual or guild) would like to get involved please message me in game! My btag is Silaine#1824.
