Hello there!
CSI-UC's "Black Ops" raid team is currently 11/12 and learning Nefarian. We've mastered phase 1 but are having some trouble w/ the transition to Phase 2.
We're losing one of our ranged DPS (a fire mage), and are seeking new blood to fill the position on a permanent basis. This opening is effective tonight, Thursday, 5/26/2011. By that I mean that, if you contact me this afternoon and I accept your provisional addition to the team, you can start tonight. Sorry, melee, but this position is for ranged DPS only.
This raid team raids Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm. We provide cauldrons for flasks, and Seafood Magnifique Feasts (hereafter referred to as the Lobster) for food. As a full permanent member of the team, you would be expected to:
(1) Join CSI Undercity within two weeks.
(2) Attend 100% of raids (both nights, every week, extenuating circumstances aside). We expect our raiders to commit to and prioritize the raid. Missed the raid because you got in a car accident? OK. Missed the raid because your real-life friends asked you to go out with them? Not OK. The people you raid with are just as real as your "RL" friends.
(3) Research the encounters on your own time (watching TankSpot videos at a minimum).
(4) Have a progression mindset, meaning taking your raiding role seriously, while also being able to joke, take a joke, and have fun.
(5) Be able to take criticisms of your performance for what they are: Helpful information to improve your raiding, not as personal attacks. If you are incapable of handling constructive criticism or having your mistakes pointed out in a raid setting, do not apply. I am not a babysitter.
