Update: This is a further update to the previous version of this post regarding RBG recruitments.
I am looking at forming multiple groups with different MMR/skill requirements, to provide myself and many of my associates opportunities to play their different toons at the appropriate level instead of trying to push for a 1900+ team every single time. Tentatively, Mondays will be a 1900+ group, Wednesday early afternoon will be a 1400-1600 level group, Friday will be a 1700-1900 group, and possible additions on the weekend.
If you are interested just send me a tell in-game and I will send you a calendar invite, provided you meet the requirements.
What I require is that you have the basics for PvP competitive play. This is subjective and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis if necessary, but some of the things I am looking for include:
- Arena experience. This will help determine which 'bracket' you should be a part of.
- Battleground experience. How many times have you played BGs lately? Do you know the layout of the maps that might pop up well? Rated BG experience a bonus but hardly expected.
- Gear. I am expecting everyone to have at least 3800 resilience by now.
- Class familiarity. Experience with that specific class is very important, even for good PvP'ers.
I won't turn you down if you don't meet the above requirements necessarily, because 'bad' players who try and learn will become good players.
Note that which 'bracket' I invite you to play in is not just dependent on your personal skill and experience, it will also depend on your RBG MMR, because if you play in a group with a significantly higher MMR than yourself you make it very risky for the other players in the group since they stand to lose a lot of rating for a loss and gain very little rating for a win. This is the principal reason for the need to differentiate groups. If your MMR becomes too high or too low you may be asked to move up or down brackets. Of course, if you are not performing at a level appropriate for your bracket, you will also be asked to move up or down.
Note that the times and brackets indicated are fluid and will change based on the situation.
I will update the thread as needed when the groups start to take shape.
