How are the raiding guilds? Are there any that have started heroic modes? How active are the RP guilds? Are both factions equally active in RP/Raiding environments?
Interested in a possible transfer.
We have one 25 man guild that at this moment has fully completed Firelands regular mode. (Just killed Rag on Thursday). We have one or two 10 mans that have completed Firelands and working on HMs. The raiding thread at the top of these forums is kept updated quite well, so I suggest looking their for names.
The RP guilds are active enough. Homeland, Ishnu Por Ah, and Da Doctas are three of the most active horde-side. Ally side I'm not positive about, but either way, I'd check out the RP Guilds / Events Directory also stickied at the top of these forums, as I just updated it a few days ago.

Alliance side there are constant raids forming, but I'm not sure of progression. Probably Warcraftier though. They are the one name that always comes to mind for Ally prog raids. Some of the RP guilds also put together 10 and even 25 man raids, and some do older raids frequently also (I know LO does ICC25 a lot).
There are a lot of RP guilds Ally side, and a lot of characters, but I know more than a few of them are the same core of players with some serious altitious, but there is still a sizeable portion of pure RPers around.

I think the primary thing to say about Cenarion Circle is that it's got a great community. The RP scene isn't as active here as say, Moon Guard I hear, where you go to Silvermoon City and it's just filled with people walking around RPing. However, CC's got some really really awesome people in its RP community. There are a bunch of different groups that do events on a regular basis, which are not restrictive to just the RPers. Hell, I've stopped RPing a long time ago and sometimes I drop by these events just to check them out. They're a load of fun, though usually I hide and observe. >_> Just think how awesome they might be if you participated! xD Also fairly regularly there are interesting RP threads that go up on our forums here, which are always a fun read.
So I'm not an RPer anymore. I guess you could say I'm pretty engrossed in the raiding scene on our server. :P What I can say about CC raiding is that it's never going to be cutting edge, but at the same time I feel pretty confident in saying that you probably can't make respectable progression on a nicer server. Sure, the server's got the jerks and the anal linkers, but for the most part my impression is that the playerbase here is more mature and the community just feels nicer.
We've also got a pretty healthy population too. :D CC is slightly Alliance dominated but not overly so - it's around 60/40 I think. There are people from all over the world here, while it certainly is less active at say 3 AM, it's not going to be a complete ghost town either like on some servers if you do happen to be a night owl. ;P

Sounds good. I'm becoming more interested. I'm a long-time role-player with a lot of experience under my belt and I haven't done the MMO RP scene in a while. I'll take a look at the progression, without a doubt. Hopefully, things will continue to intrigue me because this place seems like its one of the places to be.
