To the Homelanders, and to other role players of our community:
After reading through chat logs from the other day, I want to make a statement about the storyline that I am currently leading. You may or may not have realized that it branches off of Gentyl's Going Home thread, and revolves around Faithe's lost kitten. A number of people have made comments about how silly it is for an entire guild to make an effort to return a lost kitten.
I don't disagree with you. I don't think I've ever heard of a large group of people banding together to return a lost kitten to an owner that lives on the other side of the world. So what's the point, you ask? Unity, as role players - and to have fun. Not all role play has to be about great battles of good and evil. I can personally promise you that I won't be offended if you think the whole thing is ridiculous. If you want to participate - well, that's great! I don't care if you help me search for information or if you sit in the Wyvern's Tail laughing with your friends about how loopy Sun must be to want to go to the ends of the earth to return a lost kitten. If you want nothing to do with it, that's fine too - just remember that this was brought about to stir up more RP for Homeland, more RP within Orgrimmar for all of us in the Horde, and more cross-faction RP.
Gentyl has been approaching Poni about interaction between the two guilds for some time now. I decided to take this idea on because Sun is the type to go all the way around the world to do what she feels is right, even for something others may find trivial. That's just who she is.
This is an opportunity for the spotlight to shine on us, Homelanders. This is an opportunity for all to see what a unique, diverse, and fun group of people we are. To everyone else, this is an opportunity to come closer together as a community.
And so I ask you - why not take that opportunity and make the most of it?
