I have a friend that plays there though I am not on at the same times to be able to play with her. She's on days, I'm on nights. Anyhow, I was looking for something more (wanting to role play) and she had mentioned that this realm was the one she would always consider 'home'. I liked the idea of a realm you would consider home, so I made a few toons and started playing.

I've run into a few people that have told me I'm on the wrong server for playing... One told me to go play on moonguard instead because the guilds that were recruiting were 'no drama' now.
I had another tell me that I'm just not on at the right times to find anyone that does role play.

I find all this a bit hard to believe as the realm is a role play realm. Did everyone simply stop playing? I admit I've not had any experience role playing on wow. And I am still a relatively new player. I've tried alliance and horde with my toons without any luck.

Are there any role playing guilds that have room for a new person to join? I can contribute with professions if need be. I have a dwarf, a worgen, and a troll.

There's not as many people on at night, but we're certainly still here and going strong. The AllianceOOC channel (on Alliance) is a good place to start.

As for guilds, there's quite a few to choose from. Most of them are themed (Pia Presidium is a holy order, AAMS Alliance Branch are couriers, etc), so the best way is to figure out a little bit about your character before choosing which one fits you best.

Dargoe is an explorer, looking for that perfect vein of ore in conjuction with his off the wall hobby of engineering. Typically taking a pint now and then to relive those close encounters out in the world as he quests along. Little is known of his past as he doesn't like to talk about it. Probably has to do with his profession of engineering vs taking the family tradition of blacksmithing...

Shellonyia (worgen) is still looking for a place to call home after the hostile fight with the forsaken. Parents died in the war. She has the professions of skinning and leatherworking. Going with her worgen side, she tends to hunt a great deal no matter which part of the map she finds herself in.

Jamaicia (troll) is a hunter whose become discontent with life in the colony. She is partical to the thoughts of gold, loot, and shiny shiny gems.. "I be styl'in mon! I won da loot and da cool rides mon. Dis troll is not to be serv'in in some colony when I con be somebody dis world con look up to."

Dargoe sounds like a shoe-in for the Azeroth Explorers League, I think it's called. Just ask around, the GM is an old regular. Just got back in, actually, and I'd love to see them take off again.

I'd say Gilneas Liberation Front or Conclave (or maybe The Reclaimation, depending on how sore she is at the Forsaken) for Shelly.

There are a few guilds I could recommend to your troll, but I'm not big on the Horde.
And the Horde aren't big on Galahn. They keep shooting at him whenever he tries to enter Silvermoon City!

EDIT: Oh, right. My guild. The Phlogiston Brotherhood are a group of good-aligned craftsmen for hire, scientists, philosophers, and the like. There's more info in the guild thread.

Hmmmm... With your description of the characters so far, we would make the following suggestions for guilds to consider:

The dwarf-thing may be a good fit for the <Phlogiston Brotherhood>, a gathering of craftsmen and tradespeople.

The (foul, disgusting, barely even sentient) wolf-thing would definitely fit in with the <Gilnean Liberty Brigade>, a group of misguided, foolish Worgen and supporters doing everything they can to secure their recently Forsaken-occupied homeland. A pointless task, in our esteemed opinion...

As for the troll-thing woman, she might find a place amongst the couriers of the <AAMS>. They offer their employees an unmatched opportunity for travel, but we are not positive exactly how profitable their work can be. Also, the company is frustratingly neutral regarding factional conflict, but that may be for the better as it would provide the troll-thing woman with twice the possible clientele, thus twice the income, potentially.

Mind you, these are only our own thoughts and suggestions. Mileage may vary, as we say...

Conclave is a guild that is based around the search for knowledge, whether literal, physical or the character's own personal knowledge is really to be determined. If you're on later send me a tell or catch Dustwing when he's on and we can answer any questions you might have. It seems like you might have a char or two who'd fit in well with us. Either way, join the channel AllianceOOC as was suggested and get to know the realm. We don't bite and we often have pie.

I have to recommend your troll to Homeland. They are a great guild, perfect for pick up RP, and they have a good player base to help you get involved in whatever you want to do.


And on a side note: I saw your troll the other night! You were in Tirisfal, questing. I was helping my brother get his Turkey Lurkey achieve by pulling out a Forsaken rogue. I walked pretty close to you. You were level 6 at the time. Good to have seen you, even if it was for only a brief moment!

LoL! And the troll seems to be stuck at level 6 at least for a bit. I'll probably hop back to her soon as I can get a few things cleared up.

I didn't want to interupt someone when they hunt those birds; as I never know when they are working on the turkinator achievement. :)
Otherwise I probably would have asked about joining a guild lol.

I've put an application into Conclave, I'll check the AllianceOOC chat occasionally to see if its approved and when I can join. :)
