Posted in each of the Alliance’s grand cities, on the proud branches of Darnassus, in the mystical, scientific halls of the Exodar, in the fiery halls of Ironforge, and in the wide, majestic walkways of Stormwind, a single notice is left, the tattered remnants of the Horde’s banner left flapping in the breeze beneath the note. The daggers holding each note to its post bear a hilt with the marking of the Jagged Sword-On-Shield, carved into a blood-red ruby on the pommel. The note reads:
Alliance, we have watched for too long. We have stood proudly with the representatives of the Horde who gathered on Caer Darrow with us in the name of peace. We have extended patient forbearance after forbearance in the name of our memory of Thrall’s Horde and the great Shaman’s desire for a united Azeroth.
And this has continuously been thrown in our faces. Garrosh Hellscream’s Horde seeks to recall its glory days under Blackhand, when the orcs were a marauding, horrifying force of destruction. The vile corpses shambling forth from the wreckage of Lordaeron, bearing the terrifying banner of the Banshee Queen, lay waste to all in their path, and the Horde’s Warchief does nothing. Goblins have taken over holy lands in Azshara, and are turning it into a toxic wasteland. Even the noble tauren sit idly by as the orc on Orgrimmar’s throne invades and brutalizes the sylvan havens of Ashenvale, launching sorties onto kaldorei settlements in the name of his war machine, devouring ever greater resources as he fortifies Durotar for atrocity.
The Reclamation can sue for peace no longer. The Reclamation will no longer sit idly by and let the Horde continue their depredations. The time for vengeance has come, and we will act, alone if need be, but with your armies at our backs in the name of hope and an eventual peace.
The Horde has made their declaration: they do not want peace, they do not want to share Azeroth. We will give them what they want, and we will rebuild our world on the shattered remains of their cities, on the powdered bones of their corpses! We call on you now, armies of the Alliance. We call on you now, Pia Presidium, Lluchduu Ocheliad, Feathers of Iron, and all the armies more who stand proudly underneath the Alliance’s banner.
Join us in our war on the Horde. Do not sit idle any longer. Reclaim your world, before it is taken from you. You have seen the horrors wrought under Warchief Hellscream. Do not turn a blind eye to it any longer.
