As you can see, my name is Cyrus and I find myself looking for two arena partners.

Right now, my ideal team is DK/rogue/disc priest. With the buff to MS effects across all classes, this comp is very promising. This past season, I was only able to reach just below 1900 in 3s with a frost mage and healer, but with how inflated the MMR ratings were following the bug fix... this season leaves a lot of hope that 2200 is doable.

Any and all classes are encouraged to apply, as it's more about the player than the class. My current hopes of rogue/priest partners just suit my playstyle nicely. Two strong partners with a viable comp will do just as well.

Requirements (Not that much):

Have at least 1800+ experience in a Cata season

Have basic knowledge of other class CCs, cooldowns and weaknesses

Be willing to work for 2200+ (Nothing worth having is easy to get)

I have used the forums before to find partners and it turned out well, so here's hoping my luck persists!

Thought of PHD and going Unholy?

I rarely meet any hunters on this server that know how to scatter-trap, much less do well in competitive PvP, and as far as going Unholy, it's... a work in progress. It's not unheard of for Frost to do well, so respeccing isn't at the top of my priority list.

But really, best of luck to you Cyrus. I've been teaching myself to heal in battlegrounds, but that is no where near arena matches... plus I use my PvE gear since I'm not cool enough to have a PvP set yet...

On a side note, I'm still toying around with Unholy. I may not like it but... survivability is so much better...

Frost is only better for a few select comps (TSG comes to mind). These comps all focus on heavy pressure on the healer and relying on your own healer to blow all of their cooldowns to keep you up for as long as they can, while praying you can kill the healer before you die. Unholy is better for all other situations.

For your specific comp, DK/rogue/priest is a relatively weak rogue/priest comp, considering how much stronger RMP is with the unhealable burst and the high degree of control. You might also try shadowcleave and PHDK, both comps capable of much more than DK/rogue/priest.

Edit: Specifically, frost is not good with a rogue/priest comp because if you face a holy pally, your priest will almost surely die before you can kill the holy pally; which forces you to peel for your priest, which only delays the inevitable. Also, when you don't have heavy offensive pressure with a frost DK you will eventually be trained to death since frost DKs are probably the squishiest viable arena class currently (only a few specs like holy priests and arcane mages are more squishy, but those are not real arena specs.)

You would have better luck going horde for 3v3 tbh. The top alliance team is mine at 2k... kinda sad...

To be fair, the mage on the #1 team on server is the same player as the warrior on the #2 team and the warlock on the #3 team. The priest on the #1 team is the same player as the shaman on the #3 team. The lock and spriest on the #6 team are also their alts.

Good players will be good...

I'd rather suck it up and keep looking for reliable teammates than change factions. Nothing against our horde counterparts, but I like where I am. I'm just trying to get a little further in PvP than I was before.

I'll keep my eyes open.
