As mentioned in a previous thread, we hunters have loads of time to think about stuff.
Traveling through WOW one can become overwhelmed by the series of whispers they receive giving them the option of joining a guild. I recall years ago when I played, there were only a few guilds that might ask if you wanted to sign up with them. Usually the guilds would do their thing and wait for someone to ask them about their talbard or guage someone's worth by how well they dungeoned or whatnot and pursue them then.
I can see where having a large guild may be appealing to some, seeing your colors all over Azeroth can make you feel good and I'm sure it allows for some fun battlegrounds. Personally, I would find much more enjoyment of being in a guild of 20 accounts (max). Twenty high level character in WOW is nothing to sneeze at and chances are you'd all know eachother or at the very least you would have shared a few words.
Are there any guild with a theme of any sort? Any all hunter guilds, all dwarf guilds, all mining guilds, all healing guilds, guilds with only one player per race type or etc? I'm curious about this one.
I was approached by a guild called the Muses yesterday. Someone named Ariatha (spelling?) asked if I wanted to join and went on to say how they were a lvl 25 guild, full of casual players, they would go on nightly runs... It can be kind of quiet soloing so I figured it might be worth find more out concerning the guild so I asked some questions. I asked how many people were in it, I was told 250 with multiple toons per account. I asked if they actually did stuff as a guild as opposed to merely being in it for the numbers, I was told that they would do runs and stuff. Then I asked if they accept noobs (newbs, newbies, etc.), I never got a response. I'm not technically a noob, BUT since I haven't played since BC... WOW does change quite a bit over time.
Alright, those were my thoughts on guilds. What do yall think?
