...a tale

Dusting the snow from my beard, I sat high about the troll encampment and observed their movements. I had been here since the previous evening when I picked up their trail leading from the picked over remains of a slain trade caravan in the pass. As the sun began to shine over the distant peaks, the lazy night watch yawned, trying to appear busy and alert. Azeroth forbid any of the mongrels in camp find them alseep at their post!
At my side I felt a low rumbling growl from Trommy, he had been forced to eat a cold supper since even the smallest of fires would have drawn the attention of the laziest of guards. I hushed him but couldn't help musing the thought of how such a nasty creature as a troll would surely satisfy the missing warmth in my bears belly...
Though it had long since proven of value to me to be atleast partially versed in most languages, I could not make out all of the instructions given to the messenger by the chief, (as the night air gave way to the dawn the sounds ceased to travel as far). I gathered from what I could understand that the runner was to take news of something that was discovered from the caravan to someone in Ogrimmar. "What were these things up to now?" I wondered. What could they have looted that would prove to be of such value that they could afford to lose a warrior THIS far from their homeland? And if it were of such value, WHY would they send their warrior across the sea to Ogrimmar instead of keeping it for themselves? Did this "thing" possess a great power?...
As the runner was dispatched I withdrew from my perch, I wanted so badly to rid Azeroth of the troop of troll vermin but decided it would be more important to the Alliance that I intercept the message... I made my way across the peak of the mountain and trained my eyes on the opening in the rocks the troll would have to take to get back to the pass of the slain caravan.
I heard him long before I saw him, such a clumsey being, more intent on producing speed than providing stealth, I waited for him to slow down at the mouth of the opening before making my shot. Before he stepped into the crack, he looked back and my arrow provided him with a third tusk in the center of his forehead and released him from his miserable existence.
I made my way to his corpse and retrieved the dispatch. The color drained from what could be seen of this dwarf's face and I rushed to Ironforge without a moment to spare...
