(( Welcome. Often comes the question of, "How is the role-playing on this server?" Well, I suppose people can always just wait for a recycled answer of, "We have a good amount of roleplayers, it's just up to you to find them." Yeah... You can do that, or what you can really do is look at this list and find people who are open to meeting other role-players. Based on my criteria, feel free to search through this thread to find the types of role-players you'd like your character to meet. This criteria does contain a few things you may not like, or necessarily care about. But others may like to role-play with people who level quicker than others, or PvP a lot. Also I find people who role-play sometimes have a conflict of schedule, making it harder to enjoy role-playing.

Introduction:
Been on this server since the good ol' days in one form or another, and I like most parts of the game. I enjoy helping new folks find their feet, as well as gently stir the RP pot when it's getting too quiet. While I am (I think, I hope) friendly, I do have my introverted needs for quiet from time to time, so I can just as often be found off doing my own thing by myself or with one other person as much as leading big events and plotlines.

This format does offer a few additional options, but we should really drag up the old archives and try to get them stickied again.

galahn i will get the thread back up and we can update it. if people would like they can add more information, but from experience, if it requires too much people think of it as a job application and you won't get much participation.

the new thread is set up so people can just add their own posts and edit themselves. Raoul and I discussed this a while back.

Cray also set up a cc wiki, so between the three locations we should have characters and stories covered. From past experience, I don't think we can have too much back up and your efforts to preserve cc history at cenarioncircle.org is greatly appreciated.

I like having this here. The thread you set up is impressive, Gentyl, but it's very top-heavy with characters that, while surely influential in the past, don't appear to be active anymore. It can be a bit daunting to someone who's new and wants to introduce a new character, or who is looking for contacts.

CC.org is also pretty amazing, I'll agree. But it doesn't provide you with a summary list of characters, like this promises to be; you have to click through several pages to get to just one character you're looking for.

So I'll support this thread as well as the others.

((I think we could stand to have both threads. I like the outline on this one better for current characters, but Gen's is nice for more of a past archive of characters.))

IC-Strengths: He's a Chessmaster. He's also good in combat, although not the best. Flexible thinker, hard worker, very creative and very deadly.
IC-Weaknesses: Short-tempered when he thinks people are being stupid. Suspicious of people who look like they're trying to control him.
OOC-Strengths: I'm not qualified to talk about that.
OOC-Weaknesses: I automatically go on the defensive when someone presents me with an RP character that is loaded with cliches or is highly unlikely in this lore setting, because I had too many bad experiences with that kind of thing. Also, if I get upset, you want Adinas here.
Leveling speed: On other characters, I prefer "very slow". (Ask me about the World Tour Method.) This guy here is capped.
PvP preference (do it a lot?): Not really. I'll PvP with Adinas; I'll help defend; I like the War Council. But I won't go looking for it on my own. It's not my thing.
Weekly online schedule: Off and on during the day; weekends are pretty solid. I make it to appointments and events when the kids let me.

oskor there is no reason we can't combine the new profiles with the archived. I removed active characters from the list so people could update them below and be able to maintain their own descriptions as opposed to waiting for someone to update it as had been done previously.

OOC-Strengths: Problem-solver, generally good with people, patient, forthright and also insightful.

OOC-Weaknesses: I don't multitask well; I can't keep up with everyone; very low tolerance for petty, BS games, negativity, or incessant whining.

I enjoy both the RP crowd and the non-RPers I spend time with. I currently have only two characters readily dedicated to RP, but both are usually very busy. I spend a lot of my time in whispers "directing traffic", as it were -- attempting to connect like individuals with compatible RP (or non-rp guilds, groups, etc.)

Physical Description (abridged): Suni's 5'2", young and delicate looking with mismatched eyes and gray-streaked chestnut hair.

She's olive complected, but oddly radiant, as if there's a layer of sunlight trapped just beneath her skin. Her smile, albeit genuine, doesn't quite reach her eyes. She bears a minute, jagged scar on the left corner of her mouth which almost imperceptibly pulls that side down.

OPTIONAL:
Personality: Suni is the stereotypical teeny human mage with a leaning towards all things domestic. How she ever ended up rumored as this mysterious gypsy temptress she's become is beyond me (oocly, that is). She's full of sass, but knows when to buckle down and get serious. She loves her wandering, but keeps a boarding house now on her boat, the Golden Galleon, in the Stormwind Harbor, so that she may continue her time-honored tradition of housing those in need. She misses the Stormwind Park and her beloved inn, the Hearth and Hind, which went into the ocean the night Deathwing struck the city.

IC-Weaknesses: Suni is magnanimous to a fault, up to and including the befriending of dangerous allies and enemies (Horde; <3 Zularn!). She's a repressed fire mage, generally refusing to use anything but defensive magic because the power of fire, to her, is chaotic and uncontrollable. She's also very stoic and will not speak of her sadness, not realizing how blindingly transparent she really is.

OOC-Strengths: Problem-solver, generally good with people, patient, forthright and also insightful.

Were I Alliance, I would post a bio. I prefer not having to shift through two pages of non-active rpers to see who all is still on this server, as a note.

However, if people actually use http://cenarioncircle.org/ , then neither of these threads are required, as it was created with the same intent, and does it in a far more organized and evenly fashion than WoW's forums permit.

I have to agree with Ra and everyone who mentioned the cenarioncircle.org :P Sifting through all of this, and the big list or roleplayers, seems like a hassle when we have a nice website that has profiles that are all nice and organized. >.> Rather than having several threads that are not so easy to look through.

Also, a note to Jeremias -- if there are things that can be improved about cenarioncircle.org, please find the forum thread there and make suggestions! It can only get better with time, IF people get involved!

Ra, we can certainly keep the archives separate or I can keep them on the Pia site as we have before. The problem is, we do need a rper guide here and we need it stickied here so people can see it when they arrive or if they are just looking. We've had two previous cc wiki type sites that are now gone. Cray has the cc wiki site. Now Terra has another server site.

How many places do we need to tell people to go for information about the server? Information should be in one place. On the official server. If people like this format better, I'm all for it. Just post your information and this time request stickies instead o letting them slide off the world like we did the dossier, which I had hoped would be the character information guide or the previous roleplayer guide.
