Good ol' RP

Hi there! I recently checked out my Druid again, and decided that I still love her as much as I did back in Vanilla when I made her. Hooray for the first character I cared about!

But enough about that. I have a question. How is the RP on Cenarion Circle? The realm she's been sitting on gathering dust seems to have no trace of RP left at all, which is sad. I had some fun times on Scarlet Crusade back in the day :(. When I can spare the money I plan on transferring her somewhere more lively, and so was wondering how the RP on Cenarion Circle is.

Thanks in advance!

CC RP is Event based. Which means it has a time to happen, people gather, interact, have fun, further stories and so on. Not like the Openess of MG, but it's less chaotic.

Alliance side there is always a event going on, as well several niche guilds.

Horde side has very big guilds with broad concepts, usually fewer players overall but all my RP experiences H side where great in one way or the other.

If you are looking for some RP alliance side, just join Allianceooc and ask about their guilds, there is always someone willing to list all their guilds.

Horde side, try Hordeooc. Like I said, Horde guilds are usually more broad, like Razortalons, Modas and Homeland. They got this concept and get several RPers under it. Das Doctas are also a great bunch and they are a bit more niche, running a weekly clinic event.

As for me, I'm trying to start a tribal/clan niche RP guild H side. Either way, be welcome!

How is the RP on Cenarion Circle?

It's alive and well here. There is some kind of even nearly every night plus there are usually people in the recluse. Pia has started standing guard outside the cathedral again, which we did for years. Every time I'm there someone stops by to rp. Remarkably, it didn't take to horde long to figure out I'm there either. Durned tauren turning me into a frog and rogues sapping me.

The easiest way to get involved is to join the ooc channels and introduce yourself. If something is going on, people announce it in the channel. People will also help you get involved.

It isn't Rogues (plural) sapping Gentyl, it's just Pang. He's kind of focused. ;)

RP on our realm is quite alive and well on both sides of the conflict, and we have the peaceful types (the AAMS on both factions, Homeland with the Horde, etc.) as well as the warmongers (me prime among them; building up my RP-PvP guild in anticipation of more world PvP in Mists of Pandaria!), and a lot between those two extremes.

Join AllianceOOC and hang out, talk with people, get to know us (belts are recommended; you'll understand why upon coming in, or within a few hours depending on if a certain someone is online...), and have fun. We tend to be lighter on events at the end of the week and on the weekend, heavier towards the front of the week. But there's always someone in AllianceOOC, and frequently people hanging out in the Blue Recluse in the Mage Quarter (including Horde on occasion; we had quite a bit of fun repeatedly stomping them last night...), and most are always quite happy to start up RP.

Bring gnomes with caution, as there seems to be a current debate on the ethics of munching on them.

The role playing community of Cenarion Circle is always happy to welcome another role player. We are an old server (one of the original RP servers, in fact) so there are lots of non-role players. We do our best to turn them into role players when we can, but they are present.

It's been noted that we don't have the incredible population of role players that Moonguard or Wyrmrest enjoys. I feel that I should add the word "yet" to that statement. We have a rather steady trickle of role players coming in from other servers, as well as former role players trying it out again and new people getting into it. Our community grows slowly.

Gentyl noted it, and I'll mention it again, we have a lot of events on Cenarion Circle. There's pretty much something going on every night. I don't find it particularly hard to find role playing outside the events, but it may mean you're going to the cathedral district of Stormwind or the Blue Recluse. Though I am finding more RP in the trade district lately as well.

Come and join us, Jassun, we're the most welcoming community of role players out there. Do bring extra pants though, there's a pants thief about. Just make sure to /join Allianceooc (or Hordeooc if you end up on that side of the fence) and say hello.

RP on Cenarion Circle is going strong and growing every day. It's event based; people meeting up in an RP hub is essentially our random RP

We do have a nice collection of RP guilds and events on the server.

Alliance-side, you have great guilds like Pia Presidium (The holy light goody-goodies), Lluchduu Ocheliad (The... not-so-holy light baddy-baddies), And the Pillar of Honor (The awesomest group around!)

Okay... admittedly I'm a bit biased over the A-side groups... *cough cough* Anyway...

Over Horde-side you got Homeland (The everything guild), Modas il Toralar (The ethically flexible ones), and Razortalons (I don't know what they're really about, but they RP-PvP and they have Raoul in it!)

Theres even a couple neutral guilds, AAMS being chief among them.

The RP hubs for Alliance and Horde are the Blue Recluse and Wyvern's Tail, respectively. You also have OOC and IC chat channels like AllianceOOC, HordeOOC, and HearthstoneIC

Anyway, glad you chose to check CC out!

(And if you go AllianceOOC, yes, do bring extra pants. And frog repellant. And frying pan protection *evil grin, hides frying pan behind her back*)

On that note, I would add that if you go Horde-side as a tauren in particular, bring maggot repellant. Or, in my case, invisibility potions. Abominus is a large reason those are still found among the arsenal that is Kaeev's alchemy "bag of tricks".

Either I'm blind or my internet was playing tricks on me, because I swear I checked this thread around 10 hours ago and saw no responses. Hum... ~Scratches head~

Also, thanks for all the nice replies! CC definitely seems like a good location to migrate when I can spare the money - which is soon I hope. It really is a shame that my oldest, most beloved character is just sitting on an RPless RP server that used to be SO MUCH fun :(. I'm quite happy to hear that the RP is quite event based. Sitting in an inn RPing is fun, but if it is the only kind of RP you're doing, can get rather stale. I'll also be happy to play Alliance again for the first time in a while. I haven't properly played an Alliance character since before Cataclysm. ~Has horrible memories of badly RP'd Belf drama putting her off RP BIG TIME on WrA~

Anyway, it's been a while since I've RP'd properly - I know, such blasphemy should not be allowed! :P - but now that I'm swamped with nostalgia remembering good times on my Druid, I get a huge urge to begin RPing more :D. And of course the urge to hit 85 with her (mainly so she can wear her cool, druid-looking level 80 Robe, as I'm completely vane and shallow like that)

And a pants thief? Good thing I wear robes! ...although that could be worse as this thief may just decide to steal the whole robe... ~Fades out with Silverchair's "Tomorrow" playing in the background~

Ewww, bad belf RP... Silvermoon on Wyrmrest Accord can, on occasion, get pretty vile. If someone ever managed a dimensional merger between WrA's Silvermoon and Moon Guard's Goldshire, I'm fairly certain a new Old God would be born on the spot.

Show me on the doll where the bad elf did bad things.

Robes, eh? Good to know, good to know...

Pffft; you can go gather info in Moon Guard on your own time.

Just go through a de-louser when you transfer back. O.O

I think they already created a new Old God that way. I think they called it "B'eber".

Razortalons (I don't know what they're really about, but they RP-PvP and they have Raoul in it!)

The Razortalon Agriculcural Combine is a highly coordinated and well-funded organization who advocate the application of logic, reason, and research to solving the problems that sentient beings face together as a civilization.

They seek an ecological production management system that promotes and enhances biodiversity among the territories of those sworn to the Horde, and to optimize the health and productivity of the interdependent communities therein.

Duh.
