Conversion: A Soulhunter Born

Quite a surprise, she was not too resistant to my offer once I explained to her what I wished. A few simple murders and deaths is all I ask of her, and in return she has the souls that empower my hunters, as well as a place in my perfect world. Perhaps Azeroth is warning others of its own death and tells them to obey me... yes, Thoraman Rakkan.

I had to hide away in Shadowmoon Valley, my citadel still held by that insufferable warlock Andaendis. But a matter for another time.

My children, young soul hunters empowered by the spirits they devoured, joined me as we welcomed Aeshi into the fold. Feeding her no less than ten souls, I guided her through the journey... one must force obedience onto a soul. Devour and consume, force it to obey you, to be your slave, your power, your destructive force that you alone command. Take the soul within you and absorb it, making it become one with you and control it with your will. Command it, and devour its might and life.

It was a long and agonizing process, as it always is with my soul hunters. At first. But she took to it quickly, I only wonder just how well she will serve...

When the strange warlock had first appeared at her doorstep in the islands, Aeshi had, initially, been rather uncooperative to the suggestions, the ideas that she put forward. Murders and attacks? For another? No. For herself? She had, in the past--she wasn't an upright, moral citizen, if that was the question posed. Perhaps.

The idea had, after several days, become more appealing. She was bored, lonely, and altogether fed up with being hounded for her northern blood. The incident with the attempted stoning, well, it didn't help. She was not a kind creature to begin with, bordering on evil in some of the things she would do...as a vodoun witch, her abilities were...questionable, to say the least. They were despicable, to most of her troll brethren. The ability to thieve, weave, and twist life at will, and bend it to her own imagination...the ability to seize control of a soul, and force it back into it's body, ripping a creature back from beyond...well, those weren't things that were uncommon to her.

And so...being asked to do what she did on a regular basis, but with reward...it did not take long for the idea to become tempting.

She immediately regretted it when she realized, after it had begun, just how agonizing the process would be. The wash of thoughts, voices, memories, feelings, and the pain of others, remembered from that moment just when they died...it was enough to drive a person mad, in the quantities upon which the warlock forced them upon her. It was difficult to establish dominance over the racket of souls in her mind, but eventually, she succeeded. After several days of inward battle, and fighting not to let one of the other souls oust her own, the things quieted...were absorbed...and then gone. There was a period of nothing, simple discomfort, followed by such a high that she had only glimpsed at.

She lounged now, on a flat stone, lying on her back languidly, spinning a small, colourful gem through her fingers. It was hard to fixate on, as her mind was numb with a soft buzzing hum of colour and sensation. She didn't want to move, only lie there, stretched out luxuriously, absorbing sunlight, and giggling at the sparkles the facets of the gem made.
