I joined to play with a friend, when he wasn't on I got bored and ended starting to roleplay with people.
It was back in Vanilla and I was on Maethi at the time, I wasn't very good in my opinion but I had fun and eventually I got better. After a while I found allianceooc and now I stay because of the rp.
The pvp on this realm isn't as fun as I wish it could be but I don't mind the people are too awesome for me to leave. So yeah, I practiced and made more characters and it made me the person I am today.

I love the community here. Best ever. It's both close-knit, yet very open and friendly. Also, I love the CC forums.
I noticed right away that CC's forums seemed dominated by the RPers. It was rather intimidating. The first thread I ever clicked on was "The Burning Orphanage" started by Ardam. Not the best first post ever to read for someone new. I was confused by the responses by people I didn't know, with obvious histories I knew nothing about. However, I remember thinking it was cool that there seemed to be so many people working on the same plot, and that a server could have a someone like Ardam. I kept reading more threads just find out who the heck everyone was, and was impressed. I dared stick my foot in the water.
Thank goodness for /AllianceOOC. CC wasn't the first RP server I checked out. I had trouble finding RPers on the first realm; maybe if I'd stuck around a bit longer, I would have figured out the server's rhythm, but I decided to try a second one anyway. /AllianceOOC gave me immediate access to the RP community on CC, so I didn't feel so lost and out of place! Having just come from a forum binge, it was scary suddenly seeing the same names appearing on my screen, but everyone was super friendly. Within a few days I was attending my first open RP event (CDRP!) and was hooked. If CC wasn't so open and friendly, I may have continued to move on.
I'm very happy here. I love ensemble, epic stories, with lots of sub plots and the occasional overriding arcs. That's what I get here, with the added bonus of being one of the members of the ensemble cast.

I was actually brought here by a friend from my old gmod Fallout RP community. So far I love the community here! I've never seen such a tight-knit group of folks. I've had alot of fun with this group, and look forward to getting to know you all better in the future!
Also I'm fairly certain this is the only server left that still does open world PvP. The world actually feels like it's at war! From stumbling across rouges in a capital to hearing screams over the hearthstones, nowhere feels safe, and I love it! >:D

I started my RP career on Sentinels back during vanilla. Shortly after starting to play, I ended landing a girlfriend that was also interested in picking up WoW. I helped her get started and while she wasn't big on RP, she at least gave it a try.
A while after BC hit, she heard from an old FF11 buddy that played on CC and after much debate, we decided to transfer to CC to join her friend's raiding guild. It wasn't quite what we had expected. We were put to the back of the bus when it came to raid priority. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed that I had uprooted for a possibility to raid Kara on occasion.
To fill in my fun time on WoW, I tried getting into the RP scene here. I wasn't much of a forum nut but I heard about AlliOOC after running into some RPers. It wasn't long before I was showing up to events (thanks Lurial!) and even helping to host some too. Guild attendance started to drop off, so we jumped to an RP guild and continued from there.
While she eventually got tired of WoW, it's been the RP that keeps drawing me back in. The connections, the stories, and seeing that people enjoy the plots I work on makes the experience for me.
