The Forgetful Courier

It was the most peculiar feeling, having Myzzi lead her around. Kezrin had always been the one in charge, to make the first more, and now she didn't even know where she was, much less where to go. And Myzzi was so different! Just a few days ago (from Kezrin's perspective) she was still "little sis," but she'd grown a lot in the year Kezrin couldn't remember. There were the physical changes- she seemed a bit thinner, and more athletic - but also a subtle shift in her personality. She was tougher, somehow.

Kezrin made the startling realization that with her missing year, they were approximately the same age, mentally. And Myzzi had experiences living on their own, in this new place, that Kezrin couldn't remember. Could she even still call Myzzi 'little sis?'

One of the first things Kezrin had learned from Myzzi was that they worked for the AAMS, a company she'd only vaguely heard about. She had trouble thinking of herself as a being a courier. They stopped by the offices in Caer Darrow, so that Myzzi could officially request some time off for the two. The pudgy gnome who was in charge was very nice about it, and told them to take as much time as needed. Kezrin was glad to leave the town. There was sickly feeling to it that made her slightly uneasy.

Then they made the trip to Hearthglen. Kezrin scoured her memory, until she recalled hearing something about a human paladin named Fordring. They lived in the same place as he? Her sister quickly explained that they were the AAMS liaisons to the Razortalons there, which included the Magister and the Archmagus who'd remove her curse.

Kezrin had nodded. That went a long way to explaining why they were willing to help her, and why Myzzi had been familiar with them. She whispered to herself to remember to apologize for distrusting them, but to be fair, it was rather a shock to abruptly find herself in Orgrimmar of all places, surrounded by people peering at her and asking questions.

From what she learned, she'd been having memory problems for quite a while, and it had somehow started to spread to Myzzi and her apparent coworkers. The strange people around her were trying to cure it.

Maybe it would all make sense soon; she'd already noticed some memories had come back, after she'd woken up in Dalaran. She now remembered the apparent cause of her trouble: that whiney-voiced, crooked-tooth, nostril-faced Nozzel had been plotting to kill her and Myzzi! She'd accidentally overheard their plot one morning, and had been discovered. It would have been inconvenient to kill her straight away, so he and his strange cane-wielding companion had decided to wipe her memory instead.

Luckily, a strong memory ran in her family; she'd noticed the missing memories, and told Myzzi. They couldn't prove anything, but Kezrin was convinced Nostril Face was behind it. They had made plans to run away. There was still a large blank stretch after that, but they must have succeeded, since they were living on their own.

Kezrin and Myzzi Kanzelry, AAMS couriers.

She'd have to remember that. Until then, there was nothing else to do except wait and hope more memories returned.

… and maybe she'd figure out where that annoying jingle in the back of her head came from?

((A big thanks to my AAMS guildies, Das Doctas, the Razortalons, and anyone else I may be forgetting for taking part in Kezrin and Myzzi's story over the past few weeks! It was a lot of fun.))
