((OK my father went into the future and there are no Kaldorie and is thus alone where he meets my mother and has me, she dies and he is then suddenly sent back in time with all memory wiped...technically that would abide by lore as there is none, granted that seems much less logical then my earlier described possibility.

Arg no matter what evidence I provide, all I am looking for is a .01% chance, I have written over 50 pages and spend countless hours on this already (which may not be much for others but it is rare for me to have done so and I have enjoyed it up till now) I would have never realized that this of all things would be my one sticking point...the one area with a lore that has "semi-canon" rules and yet cant accept this concept? It seems so pompous to completely disallow something that is on speculation rather then absolute fact.))

((I mean I am sure to scrutinize every possible aspect of the Whole Gentyl wedding would turn up some sort of possible miniscule lore fallacy. But what fun would that be, I mean don't we play this for the sake of entertainment, why would imagination be discouraged, Its not like I am saying I sprouted wings and now have the ability to fly, I am not attempting to God Mode this character, rather simply develop a different story. I have worked really hard to tie in ingame lore, such as the book of ur, the journal of Gaedres, the journal of Jitters, multiple quest some no longer in game, ect. ((If you want to play a night elven worgen, just.... don't leave worgen form. Nothing forces you to go human force, ever, outside of the starter zone. Its far more acceptable and less playing fast and loose with the lore.))

((There are tons of stories in lore that describes staying in the worgen form will begin to corrupt the soul. I mean a lot of lore that describes this. So it is not healthy...and for that matter all of those RPers who go around in the worgen form all the time should be forced to act in a very Feral nature as that is the curse of the beast.))

He did, however, offer several of what he viewed as more 'feasible' routes, and even stated that he wasn't arguing with most of the points of your story.

You are, of course, free to ignore him - but he is offering an opinion that many RPers in the community may share, based on their views of lore, as there is obviously a dispute here. But for the sake of your thread, it's likely best you simply state that you believe that is the way it should be, and you are going to go ahead with it because it is what you wish to do, or you will listen and attempt rework it a bit, in one of the ways he suggested - either way, there's no need to resort to name-calling.

It's somewhat childish to call him the 'RP police' when he was just trying to help, and as he stated, the lore is the only DM we have - so is it really so bad he's attempting to help you stick to it? A rhetorical question, mind you - as I said, it's likely best, for the sake of your thread, the subject is settled by yourself with both sides of the argument in mind. ))

Arothand I understand he is your GM and as such you are obligated to take his side. I was simply fighting for that although very rare and unlikely that it was possible. And after I do more research on the Shadows & Light character Feulia, and although its only "semi-canon" its the best we have to go on unless blizz explicitly comes out and says that its incorrect then maybe I can justify it as merely a possibility.

Can anyone with out any uncertainty, that is 100%, without any doubt say that it is absolutely impossible for there ever to have been a half NE-Human? My argument was why not allow this as a rarety, I mean do we as a community discourage any stretching of lore to accomplish an rp story line? Especially when there is very little knowledge on the issue and is mostly speculation? ))

((As someone new to rp who has this but one character, yes in 8 years I have not played any alts but I like my character and in writing this story I truly gave him life. When it was first mentioned that there were no human/ne relations which kills my fathers story I accepted it without argument. As that is a certainty. So it's not that I won't budge on anything but something that is speculation to completely recreate the character I have already brought to life is harder to give in on. I will admit I allowed the whole issue get to me and I will delete that part about the rp police as it was immature.))

You want a half-nelf, but half-nelf does not fit into the timeline. At OLDEST, your character could be 7-8 years old, canonically being as humans had ZERO contact with the kal'dorei prior to the Third War. They didn't even know they existed before then.

At the time in question did humans explore their world or would you argue at this point they were uncivilized and not yet advanced enough to begin exploring their world?

Was going to play off my mother as a shipwrecked human on NE lands which would allow the interaction. But if that is absolutely impossible for the timeline then I have no choice but to rp as a NE.

As such, night elves and humans have not found sufficient time to mingle and produce adult offspring. This does not mean that half-night elves do not exist, though they would be far rarer than half-elves. If any exist they would only be young children. They look more like night elves than human.

Edit: Though, as Raoul mentioned, you can explain this model change away OOCly in a few ways. You could make the nelf alt, as he suggested. You could also just make sure to include a physical description that includes the nelf-like features in whatever RP addon you use. Just keep in mind that there are folks who either (a) don't have these mods or (b) don't always read everyone's descriptions. If they make IC references to you being a Gilnean worgen, you'll probably want to politely let them know OOCly, rather than make a big scene ICly (if that's the sort of thing the character might take offense to).

((I tend to note any IC worgen within line of sight, since Druids of the Scythe smell different, and Gilneans are far more likely to pick up the differences in appearance.

((Well here is the plan, today I will ask some guildies of mine to help me out and do some rp around the pools of the oasis of the barrens, and we will fish up a good number of deviate fish. With the mog set I currently have no skin is seen and my face is hidden. With a growth potion I am at the same height as NE. I will adjust my story so that I am simply a NE and then just go to great lengths that my light skin doesnt come into play during RP.))

((One last thought, could a Half Ne half High elf exsist? and with sufficient armor covering most features with a growth potion on be able to icly explain the pigment of his skin?))
