Hello Cenarion Circle! I am currently searching for an RP realm to join, and I was hoping you could tell me about this server. I'd like to find a place with friendly people, a balanced mix of Alliance and Horde (I'm looking to play both factions), roleplaying (of course), and just somewhere I can level up, quest, run dungeons, do the occasional raid, and have fun playing the game! A realm with a decent amount of players would be ideal, with as few trolls as possible. Thanks for your help!

You're in luck! CC's got a nice balance of Alliance and horde RPers. Several RP guilds also run the occasional raid, both current and old content. We have RPing hubs on both factions (Blue Recluse in SW for Alliance, Wyvern's Tail in Org or broken Keel in Ratchet for Horde) and a great, mostly troll-free community.

Welcome to Cenarion Circle, Astridr. Tyrynna did an excellent job outlining some of the highlights of Cenarion Circle but I thought I'd help welcome you all the same. Our RP community (many of us play both factions, you'll fit right in) is always eager to meet new people and you should find many welcoming people anywhere you go.

cenarioncircle.org is a good place to get started if you're looking to see what kinds of RP events and characters we have here, as well as find some great small RP guilds you might not find otherwise.

Take a walk, enjoy the scenery. There's a lot of RPers here of all different flavors, and something for everyone so long as they're willing to look for it.

Make sure, Jetharan, to /join Allianceooc (or /Hordeooc if you go that side). Those channels serve as amazing social hubs for role players.

I wanna try to find a guild that'd be interested in me. I'm on the alliance now under the same name in trade chat seein if i can talk to someone about joining in the very very near future

cenarioncircle.org. Guild listings there. Recruitment threads on these forums, as well. The aforementioned channels.

Wherever you choose to go, you won't get the full picture of the server, so keep that in mind if you can't find what you're looking for in any of the resources mentioned.

And as for my own shameless plug, you might fit into well with Terra Incognita, Jetharan. We're an RP guild, ICly a mix of Argent Dawn and the Alliance's Church of the Holy Light. (Can you hear politics? Oh yes, I can!) OOCly, we think we're awfully funny chaps, and sometimes people even agree. :D If you're interested, poke me or any of Terra's officers ingame and we can see about inviting you into the OOC channel so you can start meeting us crazy people. (I say invite, because I'd rather not post the info in a public place. You never know what kinds of nefarious trolls are lurking...waiting...watching....sharpening their cookies....errrr, nevermind.)

Stormwind City Watch is also a great guild that I'd recommend personally. But don't let me distract you--get out and explore the options!

Jump out of trade and into allianceooc. You'll find more help there since that's our RP OOC channel. We also have HearthstoneIC if you'd like to try and introduce yourself IC and find guilds through a RP moment instead of just asking OOC.

There are a plethora of great guilds out there. Going evil? Check out Imperon's guild. If you're an assassin, try the Assassin's League. Feathers of Iron is a mercenary group of bar owners that are holding an expo on June 9th so you can check that out as well. Conclave is a Light and law abiding group of people. A little more scholarly but friendly all the same. You have Pia Presidium if you want to join an Holy Guard group. Then there's... as you can see the list goes on and on and caters to a lot of different types of players and stories. Your best bet is to join one of our channels and get to chatting everyone up. If you don't match our particular guild, we'll point you to one that maybe you will. We're friendly like that.

Oh and there's an event tonight. Troubadour night is hosted in the Explorer's Hall in IronForge. You may want to check that out for some fun stories and songs and goofy jokes.

I haven't been playing on CC for very long, but as soon as I joined the OOC channels everyone was very friendly! It seems that on Alliance you can find more random RP than Horde (that's all I've noticed so far). It's a great server!

Oh, and frying pan protection. LOTS of frying pan protection. And anti-hex spray and... bah, the list just goes on and on and on.

It's a dangerous realm but it is well worth it.
