As many know, it's been announced that Mists of Pandaria is coming out on September 25. They're also, for the first time, offering a digital deluxe edition, which is the CE without the physical stuff (which is usually just a DVD and soundtrack anyway; I still haven't opened either of them from my Cataclysm CE).

I like the idea of the digital deluxe - all the in-game benefits of the Collector's Edition without the fluff. And plus, they're going mounts instead of pets this time, very nice...

They are doing a mount and a pet. Plus some stuff for other games I don't play.

The war is coming.... and it's apparently become my job to stop it with the power of frying pans and conspicuous Piles of misplaced people, lost souls, and stolen pants.

Indeed it will be fun times for any adventurer in Azeroth. I sense some interesting moral choices of no easy answer coming, as well.

I don't see the point in the deluxe...20 extra dollars for a flying mount and pet? If they really wanted to sell it they should add some exclusive transmog items or something.

Considering if they'd sold it on the Blizzard Store, the mount would have been $25 and the pet $10, I figure we're getting a deal. ;)

And considering if you bought the collector's edition - which is $90, and only adds an art book, a CD, a deck of TCG cards, and a DVD, most of which no one uses or looks at a second time after they open the box (myself included - I bought Cata's CE) - I think that's a decent-enough deal.

it seems from this story that the Jade Forest intro story has been revamped, making the Horde and Alliances entry less like Gilligan's Island, and more like Omaha Beach. Horde using child slave labor, plague and demons, and the Alliance carpet bombing the countryside. Way to win the hearts and minds of the locals guys.

I can't do digital. It takes me forever to load stuff on this horrendous connection. It will be nice if there really is an incentive for world pvp.
