So, like, there's been a lot of problems in the world, recently, I find myself telling myself. "Why?" I think.

Cannot we coexist peacefully? I've seen what conflict has done. Look at me. My life was buried in Soutshore.

I dunno. It seems that there's two people in the world, and they can't exist together. There's the ones who go about living their lives, talking with others, and then the one that go out for war. To each his own? I mean, teh horde and the Alliance have been doing terrible stuff to each other, so I understand what these people face, travelling the world to these different cities and fighting. For some, its all they know.

Why can't we be one, big, happy family? The ones that live, and the ones that fight? Why is there hostility?

(( So. There's been a lot of banter and hurt feelings and sharp pointy things beings thrown around lately, due to the conflict between the RPers, and the World PVPers. It's been said before, I'm sure, but we ALL, all need to take a step back and think. This has been going on for weeks. I know that not every PVPer is out to be nice to RPers, but not all RPers give an easy time on their PVPer server-mates. Diplomacy isn't working; We need to COEXIST.

RPers and PVPers, I'm looking at both of you.))

((I'm in general agreement with the concept here, Judiel: we need to get along with each other. We're all on the same realm.

This said, I don't know if the issue is specifically "PvPers vs. RPers". The points of contention seem to be sourced in the actions of particular individuals instead of a general malaise; we have a lot of RPers who enjoy world PvP, and we have some PvPers who enjoy RP as well.

As in all things, we should act with courtesy until an individual shows they don't deserve it, and with respect to those who have earned it.))

((Granted, not all RPers are PvP haters, and not all PvPers are RP haters...but when it comes to this place, we don't see those balanced folks. More oft than not, the popular [read: frequent, self-righteous and unnecessary] topics on this forum seem to be started by the spammers, trolls and all around jerks.))

How sad that some are making it hard for the rest of us to coexist like we want to. I tend to avoid some of the more popular realms because I felt that CC is more open and friendly. If you truly have a problem with someone you should be able to talk to them and work things out. However, some people just refuse to be courteous. Those are the ones I put on ignore and go on.

You don't clearly have this goal in your mind, banning an entire channel (one that's been on for years) and saying you want this all to end? Tensions were pretty high, but your awkward Batman-justice didn't and will not work. It probably made the situation worse.

I wanted an end to something, and your last post indicated somehwat of an agreement with the idea.

And I laughed in disbelief.

Because your previous actions didn't indicate such.

I was under the impression you were going to turn the events of the pass week into an IC essay. Then, from what I can tell, you just stopped because of recent events.

I'm not agreeing to anything. I'm only saying don't let what has happened stop you from pursuing your idea. That's entirely up to you though.

A certain few of both populations are being jerks. Others see the jerkishness, and the following line of logic takes hold:

A=These jerks represent their populations.
B=These jerks are fighting.
A+B=Therefore, these populations are diametrically opposed and are trying to eliminate one another! Yeah, what jerks!

A is a false assumption. Keep the jerkishness to the jerks. And I find the best way to deal with a jerk is to brush them to the curb and slap them on /ignore.
