Pia Hide and Seek

To kick off our anniversary week, we will be holding a hide and seek contest. I've asked Tripagatu to be the master of the hunt, since he is so very experienced. It will take place at 4 pm server time Sunday, August 5. On that day Pia will be seven years old and we want to thank the members of CC for making this such a great server.

Trip will announce the rules.

This will be open to horde and alliance. We want to make it available to as many people as possible.

I do need someone to be Trip's partner horde side to announce clues. Volunteers gratefully accepted.

The prize with be a chopper, so I think it's worth playing.

Suppose I should get around to posting them rules before the event shows up, eh?

For the duration of the game, I'll be hiding on an alt, somewhere in the world. Of course, the NAME of said alt, won't be revealed. What will be revealed initially, is my level, race and the continent I've taken refuge on, aswell as a general description of the character's attire, and vague comment about my locale.

The objective is to be first to locate, stand in front of me, and perform /greet, /bow, and /cheer, in that order.

Every 5 minutes or so as the game continues un-won, I'll provide a hint to narrow your search, comments about the flora, fauna, or the weather at my location. Should we reach the 30 minute mark without a winner, I'll provide both the ZONE and my characters NAME to the players, via the announcers.

For Alliance players, as I'll be on an Alliance alt, the use of /WHO is strongly discouraged. It's virtually impossible for me to reasonably identify myself, and completely remove it's potential for use. Seeing as it gives an inordinate advantage against the Horde competitors, who do NOT have the option of quickly referencing a short list of names to narrow their search.

Teaming up(via passenger mounts like sands) to get a lower level, or newer player, the chopper, I encourage, however(looking at you, Kordrion).

Short version:

Announcers provide clues, Find Trip's alt. /Greet /Bow /Cheer. First person to succeed will get a Shiny New Chopper(If you have a Chopper, the alternate prize is a Blizzard mount!) to Ride!

As is usual for my games(Horde may know this slightly less than Alliance do) hunting with the intent to sell is strongly strongly discouraged. It wasn't made by Pia, and given to you by Trip, so that you could make some gorram gold, ya greedy blighters.

Gentyl will provide announcements Alliance-side. I've been told our Horde announcer will be Telirra. All announcements will come via the appropriate OOC channel for each faction(/allianceooc and /hordeooc)

Come out and enjoy the game, help celebrate Pia's many years here on CC.

I promised Cray I'd show up in a dress during the Pia anniversary celebration.

I plan on making good on that promise.

Where should I do this?

I'd be happy to help a lower-level type find their way in this via passenger mount; I don't need the motorcycle, as I already have one, but I can offer passenger service via either that or my rocket.

This would be 100% OOC for me, as IC Rage is not inclined to wear a dress, and if Trip's alt happens to be a gnome, there's a reasonable chance the IC Rage might, in a fit of pique, simply devour said gnome.

He's considering branching out into dwarves too, 'cause they're bite-sized, but they're also harder to chew on.

I might be kidding about the devouring thing.

Or I might not be.

You never know.

The hide and seek contest was won by Taliea. She offered a Blizzard mount or a chopper and chose the winged guardian.

Congratulations to Taliea.

A huge thank you to Triptagatu who hosted the event for us.

Thank you to Cenerion Circle for participating in the contests and helping us celebrate Pia anniversary Week. Seven years and counting.
