Just wondering who else would be interested in Blood Money dueling? I think it would be a great place for PvPers to make some gold off their trade. As well it could be a fun event for any RPers to enjoy some sport or wade into the fray themselves.

The basic idea of Blood Money is each duelist will agree on a sum and the winner of the duel gets it, purely a contest of skill. Thoughts?

I'm sure lots of people would be interested.

I am curious...will it be anything goes (i.e. are things like Bloodlust and Lay on Hands okay)? Where will the duels be held?

The duels would be held to Arena standards, so no bloodlust or lay on hands. As for where, I was thinking just outside Stormwind if it gets a bit more popular maybe move it somewhere easier to incorporate our Horde friends more easily.

About four people showed up last night after spamming trade and AOOC, then again it was like 3 in the morning hah.

As a former hardcore PvPer (well, before WoW) and a roleplayer who still loves PvP, I support this. The Gadgetzan arena might make for a decent "Thunder Dome"; a neutral goblin controlled area would make for a good cross-faction blood sport area.

I love this idea! wheni get to 85 ill try to duel you all. Shame i dont have my rouge/dk on this realm :)

There is always Gurubashi and it has a grandstand for thos who like to watch.

I considered the Gurubashi arena...but I don't want some free for all blood both starting, I was thinking in one of the Cata zones so each faction has an easy way to port to it.

The CoC place would be a nice cata zone to hold it in

Im in! And yeah, Gurubashi arenas and stuff would be bad. One dumbass could ruin it all. Also, if the event ends up being pretty popular, arenas like that kinda makes simultaneous duels impossible, as everyone in it is *red* and i can totally see the duels moving around and people AoEing others accidently. Plus, when you die in there, you really die ^^ Even with plenty of resurections available, its still not quite as effective as just... dueling someone somewhere else.

Ayways, good idea! Let me know when it is and i'll try and gather a ton of horde buddies. (Do it next week end imo!)

This sounds like an interesting idea.
Although we'd have to get the AAMS in on this as there would be no way to exchange funds from Horde contestants to Alliance ones, and vice versa.
