World of Warcraft®

I know literally none of you, unfortunately. But, I want to. My game is downloading right now, and it's still got some ways to go. I want to talk to you ladies and gentlemen, perhaps make some friends.. I don't want to go into the server in the dark. I want to know who, or where I should avoid.. (I'm from Moon Guard.. We've got a long list of people/places to avoid.) Perhaps some common roleplay hubs. Maybe even the flavor of the month class.

EDIT: I suppose I should share some about myself.. Well, i'm Meez, i've been playing WoW for about four years, and have roleplayed all wonderful four years. I've gone from Thorium Brotherhood, to Argent Dawn, to Moon Guard, and now I seek to make Cenarion Circle my home. I am turning eighteen this October.

My favorite drink is Arnold Palmer (Half Lemonade, Half Iced Tea), I do smoke, sadly =(. I generally play Alliance, but I do have a level 63 Blood Elf Paladin. Hopefully this will give you the urge to tell me some about yourself!

I'm an angry feminist who runs one of the older guilds (also ridiculously non-oppressive) on the server (8 years in december!) and I like playing a variety of alts and yell at people in Trade Chat who are being gross. I used to RP a bit but I've gotten out of it. I also quit progression raiding after a billion years as well. I raid casually with my guild and mostly just do fun stuff now.

My favorite drink in-game is Darkmoon Reserve, my favorite drink out of game is hard cider and apple ale!

The best suggestion is the same I used myself. Make an alt, try it out for awhile.
If you like it after a few weeks, then look at either making a transfer or getting into serious build up on gold/level.

There are some good people to rp with. Not all of us however are on during the day.

If you need help with getting a bigger bag (starter zone bags bite..) it can be worked out. There are rpers that have tailors, try rping it out. The blue recluse comes to mind, as a 'when in stormwind' stop by type thing.
There are guilds that have their own rp nights too. Darkshire has one on friday evenings that starts at 7pm server time. Sometimes it starts a bit late, sometimes early.. really just depends on when some of us are awake enough to type lol! Ask someone from a guild that interests you if they have something similar.

Trying to get past all my DCs.. Blizzard is no help. But yeah, I am quite outspoken, and if I need something, I'll be sure to ask. I've heard good things about this server. I hope they're true.

Cenarion's Circle is a pretty nice place, there aren't that many people are places you should avoid- although we are still sorting out how phasing is affecting -where- we RP, it doesn't seem to have upset things much.

The Blue Recluse is usually the first place people will point you to meet people. There's also the weekly events listed on the even thread here and on the CenarionCircle.org that can help you meet people quickly.

I've been on WoW for about three years, and on CC for a year, and it's the first server I truly felt like part of the community. I used to RP on text-based MUDs a looong time ago, and am very happy to be back into roleplay again. I usually play in the evenings, Alliance side, although I play a good bit on Horde as well. The AAMS is actually a cross-faction guild; AAMS and AAMS Alliance Branch are the same guild. Most of the RPers I know have characters on both sides of the fence, so if you like playing both, you'll find lots of company. On a more personal note, I'm an amateur musician - beware the AAMS Jingle!

As for Derscha, she's a rather serious gnome who loves hats, wine, and being nosy.

Alliance-side, I'm Tyr. Horde side, I'm Akira. Every side, I'm known best as Staircase elf, for my habit of sitting on the staircase in the blue recluse.

I'm a heavy RPer who isn't much into progression at endgame, unless it's casual and with friends/guildies. I've been playing actively for the past three years or so. (short stints since Vanilla before that) and I've been on CC for a year and a half. I am the proud founder and GM of the new RP guild Gambit. (Must....not...recruit...)

Welcome! IRL, I've been playing WoW for coming up on 7 years now. I spent all of Burning Crusade as part of the Horde, all of Wrath over on Wyrmrest Accord, and I returned to Cenarion Circle, where I first started playing, about a month or so before Cataclysm launched.

IC, Ragefang is the leader of a very small guild (as in, about 3 semi-active people at this point) called the Ebon Sanction; its RP concept is an Alliance-focused branch of the Knights of the Ebon Blade and other allied individuals, but the reality is we were having more success recruiting when we were just a casual guild of friendly players, some of whom RP'd. If you join us in the AllianceOOC channel, it's a near guarantee I'm going to steal your pants/lower body garment at some point; there's also a strong chance I'll stuff a gnome down your pants. If that occurs, a couple of people may dive in after the gnome.

As has been mentioned, the best way to get to know folks is to dive right in. There isn't much walk-up RP on Cenarion Circle, as most of our RP is guild and event-based. There are some tremendous storytellers involved in our realm on both sides of the war. Being one of World of Warcraft's charter servers, our realm also has a fairly large non-RPer population. Our Trade is as off-topic and OOC as anywhere else. No ERP however; our Goldshire is 100% safe. We haven't even seen Moon Guard people showing up there now with the new cross-realm zones. We mostly see people from Sisters of Elune.

There aren't really long lists of people to avoid; we have our occasional kerfuffles, and a couple of people who of late seem actively antagonistic towards the Alliance RP community, but I suppose that's to be expected. For the most part, we have no more or less drama than any other RP realm.

To introduce myself: I am a masters in accountancy student, and that pretty much defines my life apart from the odd few hours that I have for other things. I play this character and Verronia, I host the Darnassian Forum every Sunday at 7pm, and my goal is to bring more RP to Darnassus.

I RP Kyalin as a warden (so, you're not getting away from those, although I see mine is more of a Carl Hanratty than a Judge Dredd, and this will get worse as I wrap up the fraud examination unit of my advanced auditing class and move into forensic accounting next quarter) and Verronia as her pocket accountant, embedded in the Darnassian bank. I am usually up for walk-up RP on both, and I tend to be on during the weekends in the evening.

Welcome to CC, Meez. I'm sure you're going to enjoy CC very much. There are some great guilds and people here. It's a very welcoming server.

I play Gentyl D'Amond Turncutt in game. I've been playing since release. I'm the gm of Pia Presidium, on of the oldest rp guilds on the server. Pia is the Holy Guards, think templar knights with a keg and a sense of humor. I tend to enjoy laughing so we attract a lot of fun, colorful characters as well as some very staid, straight-laced knights.

Gentyl likes to fight even though she's admittedly not great. She's kind of a do-gooder. Do what's right even if it's not popular. Souleater once described her as the center of chaos and that may not be far from wrong.

Some of my alts are: Faithe who was orphaned as an infant and raised by orcs until she was ten. (See Going Home thread.) She's my quiet, fairly shy priestess.

Charitye, my feral druidess who seems to be stuck in cat form and is a total drama queen. She loves Imperon and thinks if she gets hurt, she's dying. She spent some time with Imperon who was trying to help her become less feral and while with him swallowed one of the enchanted buttons off his cloak and an enchanted ring. She now glows to reflect her mood (mood kitty) and when she opens her mouth she "receives" music.

Abon, my cosmetic-selling gnome who spent six month in Undercity when she was level 8 because she was trying to learn from the apothecaries in the laboratory. While there she fell in love with one of them. Now she's back in Stormwind, plying her trade. Ding Dong, Abon calling.

Froyd is my rogue gnome who does therapy, first session free. She's convinced she's quite good and has a 100% cure rate since no one ever comes back for a second session.

In real life, I'm a writer. I worked for a horse racing magazine for 22 years. I have an epic fantasy novel on submission with an agent and most recently I've been writing for the game V Dusk Falling.

I'm older than dirt, I'm primarily a Tauren (but that might be race changing soon...), I'm a Troll and a Worgen too, as you can see. I used to be a iundead and a blood elf as well, but they've not seen any action lately.

I've been here, on this server, since it began, and I used to RP a LOT, but not so much anymore. I am always IC though. I used to raid a LOT, but again, not so much anymore, real life has a way of getting in the way. I like kind folks, fun folks, smart folks, and goofy folks, hence, I am currently loving it in Pia Presidididididiummy.
