I have been involved in RP for a few years and was looking to find a new realm to move to. After reading your forum for several days I will probably look elsewhere... The drama exceeds my thought for a pleasant, calm and quiet place to be. Sorry for that because I had heard good things in the past.
Considering transfer to CC for RP but.....
If you're seriously considering CC for RP, disregard these forums.
I recommend visiting cenarioncircle.org, instead.
Like any realm forums (see Wyrmrest Accord), we have our stupid drama !@#$ on the forums. It's not indicative of the community as a whole.
Either way, g'luck in your search!

I don't see it changing sadly.
well, I hope you can find a way to solve your issues...and yes i will keep watching to see if there is any improvement before i make a final analysis.
I have to agree with the OP here because I was browsing around looking for a server with some decent RP that I could visit and potentially call home. However, the drama here reflects poorly upon the community IMO and it's not something I want to be dragged into.
Forums are the worst place to find a good example of every server.
Fixed that for you.
It happens on EVERY RP forum. Best thing to do is roll a level 1 alt on the server that you're interested in, join the HordeOOC/AllianceOOC channels and say hi, ask around a bit.
Using the forums as a basis for transferring to ANY realm, no matter whether it's PVE/PVP/RP, is a bad idea.
I want to thank many of you for your response...as suggested I will take into consideration the points you have brought up. I hope you can continue to settle the drama that seems to be running amuck in your community. It is after all a game ...where hopefully mature behavior can prevail.
To anyone considering transferring here, I please beg of you to log onto our server and actually talk to our player base before making your decision. Unfortunately the forums are occasionally taken over by the loudest minority.
It seems kind of odd for someone not on the server to create an entire thread to berate us just because she perceives CC as having too much drama.
I would not let the actions of a very few taint the all players of CC.
I have found this server to be very friendly and fun to be on, and I transferred here from another server as well, a PvE one.
I am only just getting into the RP scene, starting with the AllianceOOC channel, and have found it to be nothing but enjoyable.
The issue that was causing the drama has been put to rest, if you are looking for an event-driven RP community (that is my understanding of the server, if I am wrong someone please correct me!) then I would say CC is a good place to check out.
Create a new character and pop in for a while, don't judge a community by only the forums, participate in it and see for yourself! :)

I too was looking to transfer my main here. She is a gnome priest but I read a thread from somebody named ragefang talking about cooking gnomes. It was interesting that everybody thought it was so funny except the gnomes from your server. Now you have someone berating a person for starting a thread for not being from your server. If I did transfer, I think I would go horde. The alliance side here does not seem very welcoming.
Maybe I can help a little here, as a recent transfer to CC myself.
I could not be happier I came to CC. Although I occasionally post on the official forums, I rarely take them for a fair measure of what's actually there. So I rolled my paladin, Ellua, hopped into HordeOOC, Hearthstone and introduced myself. Considering how wary I was of folks in general after bad experience on my previous server, I was ready to meet plenty of shrugs. Couldn't have been more wrong- folks are engaging, friendly, welcoming, and happy to help anyone with pretty much anything. By level 10, I was prety sure they were stuck with me. By level 25, I'd transferred my three mains from the old server with all my heirlooms and a fourth recently joined them.
Please do visit cenarioncircle.org, a gathering place of the local RP community, roll an alt on either side and introduce yourself. I have met some fantastic folks horde-side who primarily play Alliance, and I'd wager there's plenty of people I'll love to meet Alliance side when I get there (so much RP, so little time! :D). Forums can be handy, but if you scroll through, I think you'll see more positive community interaction than other.
Anyway, should you find yourself as a munchkin on CC, feel free to poke me on any of my girls (Braedorialai, Ellua, Sakinah, Hasanah, and Zuleikha- although the first three are more common.)
-happy CC"er three months and counting and excited to start MoP with these folks

Litonya, there's been a recent flare-up of drama (and I'll own my part for participating in it when the more mature approach would have been to likely just remain silent; I blame my "crusader" personality type IRL) that's unfortunately spilled over into a resource the Alliance RPers use to coordinate our activities and give like-minded folks a place to chat without excessive involvement from parties uninterested in RP. Our realm, being on the larger (and older! This realm launched with WoW) side, has a fair-sized non-RPer population, and as a result, Imperon, the guild leader for Lluchduu Ocheliad, started the AllianceOOC channel way back when, as a place for the RPers to hang out. Typically speaking, we welcome everyone in that channel, whether they're actually an RPer or not, as long as they don't actively antagonize RP. :)
The recent flare-ups aside, this realm is awesome enough that, despite the larger RP population on Wyrmrest Accord, I chose to return here after Wrath was done. I first rolled here back in 2005, was Horde all through Burning Crusade, took two years off in Wrath (because we had so many people that we had login queues; free transfers were being offered to Wyrmrest Accord, so I availed myself of them), and returned shortly before Cataclysm launched (and then immediately race-changed to a worgen at its launch).
Why? Because Cenarion Circle is home. Some 7 years after I started playing, the people are what keep me logging in these days; Guild Wars 2 is honestly as fun from a game-play perspective, but the people on Cenarion Circle insure I can't stay gone for long, and to be honest, even after 7 years of playing, WoW is still fun as a game for me, and I'm excited to get to 90th level in a couple weeks.
I don't always like everyone I encounter, which is fairly normal with any group of people that gather. But I can say I like more people I encounter than not, and with the unique personalities RP can sometimes attract, this is honestly a meaningful and pleasantly surprising statistic.
Cenarion Circle is a great place to be, for event-based RP, for creative storytelling, for epic storytelling (some of our really large events have a good deal of behind-the-scenes cooperation from both factions).
Don't let the recent forum squabbling stop you from coming over to check us out. There are some awesome, friendly and fun players on both Alliance and Horde here, and we'd love to have you join one (or both!) of us to enjoy what Cenarion Circle has to offer.

Well one can hope that A-side has calmed a bit. We're nice people, I swears!
Of course, H-side has some dandy folks too. I play both factions pretty equally.
Oh, and watch out for frying pans and pant-stealing if you're in AllianceOOC. And possibly potatoes.

It's all in the name of a story and a game. If you don't wish to be a part of Rage's RP and such, then stay away from him.
Honestly, its just like one of the DJ's here in town. He talks about eating babies all the time. It's a joke. He says it for fun, and for him, to show just how cute said baby is.
If you want to get to know the sever, roll an alt here and talk to the people. A very small percentage of the population uses the forums.
