Paw'don village, 5 days ago, mid morning. (sept 20 in the common calendar)

Minsey was daydreaming again. Of course under the circumstances, with her wedding day less than a week away, it could be understood, still it took several tries before she noticed her mother's voice calling her outside. Putting down the skin she was preparing for tanning Minsey chuckled to herself-despite the fact he would soon be her sister-in law(or possibly because of that), Li would not enter her home unless he had to, due to the young pandaren's fear of catching 'cooties'. She stuck her head out the door “yes what is it?”

The young boy was panting for breath as if he had been running “Grandfather has asked for you, and he says it is urgent.”

“I'll be right there.” It wasn't like a pandaren, especially one of Li's grandfather's age to say anything was urgent, so if he had wanted her to hurry, the situation must be important. Fortunately her cottage was not far, taking only a few moments to reach. He was old even for an elder, mostly blind now, but his mind was still sharp. “I am here Elder Xin.” she said bowing respectfully.

The elder looked troubled “I am sorry to bother you with your wedding only a few days away...but I have had a vision. For the past few weeks, I have seen..waves of blue and red, crashing upon the shore and covering the lands, leaving suffering and misery in their wake.” He held out a scroll, despite his infirmity the calligraphy was exquisite “I have need of a trusted courier. I need this taken to the temple of the Jade Serpent, to Lorewalker Stonestep.”

“of course..”she said, taking the scroll hesitantly. He smiled “do not worry, you will be back in time for your wedding, and we will all get to see you for the first, and probably last, time in a dress.”

Laughing, she nodded. “your grandson is probably one of the few who could get me into that” she said with a smile. He was right, it was only a days ride there, and another back. Plenty of time.

She had changed into her riding clothes, the scroll carefully tucked into the courier bag and was saddling her dragon turtle when she heard the familiar footsteps behind her. She tightened the last strap and turned “so” came an amused chuckle “I hear you are forsaking me for my grandfather?”

She smirked and lightly swatted at Shen “It's only to the Temple of Jade Serpent and back. Besides, this will let your cousin take you down to the pub on the docks to see the dancing girls, without me having to pretend not to see.”

Her fiancée just threw back his head and laughed. “the only one I want to see dancing for me is you-but it is tradition.” he said as he pulled her close.

“well In a few days, I will be. But the sooner I leave, the sooner I can return.”

“not taking Akuna with you?”

Looking in the open doorway of the cottage at the large black and white tiger snoozing on the floor she chuckled “I was wondering where he was...” hearing his name the cat lazily opened an eye as he laid there by the fire pit, sprawled on his back. “Come on you lazy lump, the temple usually has those fishcakes you love.”

'”ooh, bring me some too?”

Nodding, he held her for a few more moments, then lifted her up and onto her turtle. She laughed and settled down, making sure her bow was comfortable on her back. “If I've time, I'll stop by Nectarbreeze Orchard, and pick up some of those candied fruits your little brother loves.”

“just make sure you bring enough for me too!” he said with a laugh as she rode off, the tiger loping alongside.
