I want to make a WoW version of Julie (aka F.A.K.K.2) on a RP server. My main problem is deciding on what class to make her. My first impulse was to make her a warrior. But because I already have Taarna as a warrior I want to keep some class diversity to keep my interest in playing all of my toons. I'm thinking of making her a hunter. That way she can still wield swords and guns and might look pretty cool with a panther as her pet. The only thing that kind of bums me about it is that in battle the pet does most of the fighting- or am I just looking too much into that? Please let me know what you guys think. I'm open to all suggestions!
To Anyone Who Has Seen Heavy Metal 2000...
Oh. They made sequels to Heavy Metal? Man, that movie really was metal.
I don't know about this Julie lady, but a Marksman hunter actually does most of the damage in a fight; the pet contributes maybe a quarter to a third of the damage (I haven't tested this lately, especially now that my Recount is out of date again).
What bums me out is that you can no longer equip both a ranged weapon and a melee weapon, even if just for show (like they said we could...). You can (as I do, sometimes) carry melee weapons out of combat, but we hunters have lost most of our melee capability, and none are linked to melee weapons at all. So, there it is.

Ugh, yeah I was bummed when I logged on one day and saw my hunter's bow was in his bag for some reason and couldn't equip it with his ax. :(
Marksman might work since she favored using guns for a majority of the movie. I think that's the only spec I haven't played before on a hunter.
But yeah, the latest Heavy Metal came out in 2000 (hence the name) and is a one story movie unlike the first one. The main character, Julie, was completely inspired by her voice actress Julie Stern. The movie isn't horrible, in fact I give it credit for keeping Julie in practical clothing up until the end where they do a bit of a tribute to Taarna.
Thanks for your input on the hunter idea!

Well, before I came here, I was in a raiding guild on my old server. When Survival was seriously weakened in, like, 4.1, I picked up Marksman, and found it to be really easy to work with. I've kept it for group stuff, as it still gives formidable burst damage.
I looked at the music list for the first sequel, and I gotta admit I was not really all that impressed. There are so few bands from the 90's and late 80's that I actually enjoy, but I'm trying to find music outside my usual epoch.
I'd still give it a watch, since it'd be great if it were even just half the movie Heavy Metal was.

I was also disappointed by the music in the sequel. I was even surprised to see Pantera listed on there as being one of the groups. Hope you do get a chance to see it. Anyone who likes the first Heavy Metal, even as a guilty pleasure, should give the sequel a watch.
My apologies, the name of the actress who voiced F.A.K.K.2 is Julie STRAIN, not Stern.
