[A-RP Event] Discourse on the Worgen Curse.
03/01/2013 07:41 AMPosted by FerenoldFerenold's a reactionary, racist, nationalistic jerk
I never really got where Ferenold's (the character) stance on imperialism came from. It seems to me that it's an OOC application of your modern sensibilities to be honest. Something which I don't understand since you RP these other qualities which I imagine must similarly be things you dislike IRL.
Edit: talked about it in game. Thought your points were interesting enough.

Good event. I was glad we attended, despite the rampant heresy!

Yeah, I was happy with it too! The disdain was only IC. And slaying Tadkins wasn't bad either even if I was RP walking at first.

I lol'd IRL when that happened. Immersion-breaking, but it was funny to see a random goblin DK jump into the scene all of a sudden. :D
I was bored and felt like being spontaneous. Apologies if I genuinely disrupted things, but I didn't remain to grief or anything.

Psht your reputation preceded you Tadkins. And all of us can be glad that it doesn't involve griefing or trolling!
The following is scribbled in purple crayon in Adrius's journal. Nobody would have IC knowledge of what's written inside, aside from a few select members of Adrius's Order.
I understand now what would drive an aspiring Druid to become a Feralkin. Because sometimes, putting up with Humans is hard. Being a beast is way less complicated.
I went to the Herrofant's forum today and stood in Howling Oak for two hours straight while the "Light Brigade" beat their chest and pressed their self-righteous ways on my friends and family. Worse yet, the Herrofant, ever-feigning the gentleman, was more than willing to put up with them as they trampled all over his Elder Ways. But I wasn't about to sit there and take it all night. I don't consider myself a saint by any stretch of the imagination, but I've never so egregiously spit on someone elses' beliefs before.
I don't remember much of the Feral days, but I do remember the carnage. I remember the rush of ripping out some poor fool's throat and bathing in the fountain of their warm blood. I remember the feeling of soft, squishy flesh as I carved into them with my fingernails, then watching them flop about like a fish out of water. How I wanted to re-live those days, just for a moment.
One of them suggested the savagery of the Worgen and the Elder Ways are what led to the fall of Gilneas. I wanted nothing more than to teach those Light-loving peices of !@#$ a lesson that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

A neatly-penned letter posted from Darnassus to inland Kalimdor.
Dearest Salune,
You'll never guess who turned up in Darnassus the other day. Ferenold and a good deal of the Order were holding some sort of symposium at the Oak... Some sort of discourse on the nature of the Worgen Curse. I must say, I was rather impressed by all the sophistry and spiritual meaning that the old sod managed to pull out of some secondhand blunder. I got a chuckle to say the least. Seems as though we humans can't fail to be mystified by what the Kaldorei are trying to forget. Oh, and naturally, the discussion had to turn into an argument to fault the Kaldorei for the whole thing. Mum was quite engrossed, though. I think she fancies shipping back to Darel'horth with the lot of them... Could you imagine?! I think I'd rather she join up with the footmen!
Anyways, I thought you'd have yourself a laugh over that. There's some pears and that Stilton you've grown so partial to coming on the next food shipment to the outpost.
Lots of love and keep your wits about you,
Vaelasca.
