Neryth remained stoic as he noted the sleet and ice spears, but inside his heart jumped in his chest for he knew who was responsible. He threw his shield once more to remind his opponents he was by far more dangerous than a little weather abnormality. And the ghoul attacked him with renewed vigor, even as the ground sapped it of strength and caused it harm. The ghoul's fetid breath could be smelled by Neryth, as he held it off with his sword.

Unfortunately, for the blood elf, the death knight outside of the range of the holy ground, brought his hands together in a dark spell that grasped the paladin around the neck, and pulled Neryth before him a good foot above the ground. The paladin kicked and struggled as invisible hands clenched around his neck.

The other knight smiled as a nice opportunity presented itself, and swung the massive two-handed sword at the paladin in distress. The blade connected solidly across the paladin's plated back armor, and left a deep dent in it. Neryth jerked as it felt as though a house had fallen on him, and sat on his chest. The paladin hung limp in the air as the death knight laughed a long and hollow laugh that sounded evil as he prepared to strike him again.

Fae nearly came unglued as the death knight's began beating on her love. She screamed in anger and hurled a massive bolt of arcane at the one swinging the sword. Just before it reached him she narrowed her eyes and forced the bolt to split in two, striking both of them a stunning blow. She followed it with a stream of magical missiles that pounded into them with hurricane force.

The water elemental helped by slamming a solid wall of ice down and freezing the ghoul in place. If Neryth could get back on his feet he should have an easy time dealing with all three of them. Unfortunately this also announced her presence. They might even attack her now. SHe prepared by casting a ring of ice in front of her. If they stepped in it they would be frozen solid. She grinned in anticipation.

The paladin fell to the earth choking as the dark knights twitched from the assault his beloved had sent their way. His lips moved as a large shield appeared over him, and the massive weapon of the death knight slammed into it. The knight was not happy.

The other knight crashed into the shield as his sword slammed on the protective shield as well. Neryth's lips moved silently as a light, a holy light intensified around him. He came up from a crouch to stand before the knights, and when his mouth opened a blazing sword of light came forth and struck them. One knight fell to his knees, as the other held his sword up to protect him.

As the shield dissipated around him, the holy warrior brought his right hand up, holding his sword, and an enormous sword came down from the heavens and impaled the kneeling death knight. The undead slumped on the sword, finished.

The last death knight brought his sword up, intoning a dark rune as the sword blasted through the paladin's defenses and struck Neryth mightily. The paladin went flying backwards, as the sword cracked the warrior's breastplate, and again left Neryth with barely a breath in his body.

Blood flowed from the paladin's lips as he cried out, and the light answered him once more as the light intensified around the paladin to nearly blind the death knight and ghoul that attacked. Neryth's eyes were a light with holy fire as he stared at the ghoul and spoke. The reaction was immediate as the ghoul scrambled to be free of the terrifying power of the paladin and the light.

The last knight began to cast a powerful spell, his arms bringing forth a terrible retribution against the paladin when the knight whisked into the air, his spell cut off by two invisible hands around his throat. And Netyth looked up at a great armored bat hovering above the battleground, the death knight held in the strong arm and hand of another death knight.

"I told you to detain him, Number Two!" the batrider shouted, "He was to be mine, and mine alone. Now, your life is forfeit." And the death knight Neryth had been fighting fell and crashed to the ground. Its armor was frost covered and wisps and tendrils of cold rose from the dead dark warrior. Neryth could barely take his eyes off it, until he heard a cry from above.

"You are mine, paladin! Know you this, I, Lucifearyx, shall come for you, and you shall be destroyed. Enjoy what little life you have, Neryth Whitestaff." And after so saying his threat, the dark warrior flew off and out of sight.

Neryth fell to his knees, and looked out to see his Pfaedra running to him, and he smiled.

The sight of yet another death knight above them nearly gave Fae a heart attack. The fact he took away the death knight she was about to impale with spears of ice herself, surprised her. But his words chilled her to the bone. She watched him fly away before running to Neryth. "Who or what is that? Are you all right my love?" she kneeled next to him to give him a quick exam to see if he needed any bandaging. She knew he could heal his wounds.

Conjuring up some refreshing water to help him recover his mana, she sat near him as he drank it. "You are very lucky I came back when I did. Something told me to come home. We should spend more time together. I am about to go and chew out the Mages Council for sending me off without you. We are a team. We need to stay together." she could not help the tears in her eyes as she hugged him close to her. Nothing in the world was worth her losing her love.

Looking at the dessicated corpse of the death knight she frowned and immediately send a fire spell to burn it to ash. She would not take the chance of it being rezzed. She was still trembling in emotional rush as she held onto Neryth.

She rolled over and pressed her body against her husband. Oh, how good that sounded "her husband" as her hands slipped over his side to caress and feel his broad chest under them. Her fingers lightly traced over the muscles, and she pulled him into a loving embrace. Jen whispered softly, "I love you, my darling Leon."

She drew her leg over his hip, and pulled herself even closer, and enjoyed hearing him lightly murmur in his sleep. He did not, unfortunately, wake up. Jen's lips touched his shoulder, then across them, the trail of kisses coming to the base of his neck. She patiently kissed a trail of light kisses to his ear, then gently nibbled and tugged on his earlobe. A low groan from Leon told her she was making progress in getting his attention, and she smiled.

Her breath was warm on his neck as she softly repeated her words, "I love you, my darling Leon." Jen then lightly sucked on his ear lobe, making a low sound of contentment deep in her throat. Her fingers moved sensuously down from his chest to Leon's washboard stomach, and she found her own body reacting to the feel of his warm one under her fingers and hands. He rolled towards her to end up sleeping on his back.

Her leg drew across him, as she settled up against him, her pretty head resting on his shoulder. Her arm came back up to rest across his chest, and she sighed lightly. Somewhere in his sleeping, Leon felt her, for his arm came around her and held her close. Jen took in his manly scent, and snuggled closer to her husband. "Her husband", how good that sounded in her mind as she drifted back to sleep in his warm embrace.

The lavish apartment that had once been that of Wyntar and Zyss lay empty. The books, clothes, and baby clothes were all gone, placed in a storage area until such time the pretty warlock could sell or get rid of it. She glanced around the main room, as figments of the past flashed through her mind.

Tears slowly tracked down her cheeks at remembering Wyn so vividly, how she missed her so. The mage's death had left a large empty place in her heart and soul, and right now, she could barely function as the last person in their lives had been taken from her.

He had wanted the baby, and said he would raise him up knowing the Sin'dorei and Human ways of life. And would allow young Aristobylus to choose where he desired to be when he reached the age of making his own decisions.

Zyss had looked the paladin in the eyes, and she could see his sorrow in knowing of Wyntar's death, and that he was not taking the boy for some foolish selfish reason. Jorym wanted to let the baby grow up as Wyn would want him to grow to be a man.

So, she had sold the apartment, and all its furnishing, and found herslf a smaller place to live. Off the beaten path, and a quiet cottage, for the young witch to grow and explore the realms of her profession.

The nights were long, and still filled with gentle sobbing. When would she ever get over losing her beloved Wyntar?

It was a quiet night in Silvermoon City, the guards talked and chuckled as they made their rounds. The two that passed the darkened alleyway didn't look twice as they passed it by, and the shadow with icy cold eyes watched them move away, and he smiled.

He had found her new residence. It was smaller than the other, much easier to access, and most of all, it was off the beaten path. Again the creature smiled, and anyone who might have seen it would have run off in terror. Not that Lucifearyx cared.

He served Him, the Master, and he had been demoted to finding this little witch. He had tried to plead his case before Him, of how the paladin was stronger than anticipated, and he had a magewoman at his side! He had heard the deep voice demand his silence, then been told to find the one called Zyss. The One had plans for her...

He stared into the window as she slept on her tiny bed, and he waited. He had been told to find her, so he had. Lucifearyx would alert the Master he had found her, and see how he could serve Him again. The death knight would not fail Him again. There would be no...again, he would merely cease to exist.

And Lucifearyx wasn't eager to no longer exist.

The imp watched the death knight from within the tiny hovel his mistress now called home. While it was nothing like the previous abode, the demon cared nothing about that, it merely moved with her, and watched over her as she asked.

He stared at the knight as it glanced in several times, and it wondered what was planning. He would awaken his mistress, however she had only fallen asleep a few moments ago. She rarely found complete rest anymore; no, it was more like short catnaps with tossing and turning involved.

He turned to watch her now, as he heard her cry in her sleep, and he shook his head. She needed to get over the mage's death, and move on. To grow in glorious power of the Fel, and become something more than this frail soul that lay there at the moment.

The shadow of the dark one passed over a window as he glanced in one more time. The imp had a fireball ready if the knight thought he would enter unobserved, but the undead thing pulled away, and left the mere shack alone for the moment.

The imp could only think whatever the shadow wanted, it bode ill-wind for his mistress. The tiny demon sat on the edge of the small cot, and held a silent vigil through the night.

It had been a long day for the pretty witch as she had been studying and shopping since dawn. Her head was full of new found knowledge, her eyes hurt from reading the faded ink of several large tomes, and Zyss' feet hurt from wandering about the bazaar, finding some bread, and other sundries she needed for a nice soup.

As Zyss came to her street, she looked around, noticing the shadows had grown darker and longer as the sun began to set behind the walled city of Silvermoon. Her arms were full of groceries and books as she headed for the small cottage she called home. She stood before the old wooden door, and tried to get the key into the lock, her tired arms trying to lift the key to the lock. She stopped as a dark shadow fell over her, and an arm reached out to grab her.

Books flew, and the bag of food stuffs was knocked to the floor, potatoes rolled about the porch, as well as several eggs, while a few lay broken close to the door, and the head of cabbage rolled down the front steps. A hand covered her mouth, as the arm pulled her close to a tall skinny body. Her teeth bit down hard on a finger too close to them, and a loud yelp resounded in the fading light, for that brief moment she whispered a few hurried syllables, and fell towards the door from the back handed smack she received for biting the assaulter. She looked up in fear as a fist came up to strike her again. But it never fell on her.

The demon she had called picked the man up and threw him several feet into the air and almost clear across the road. Even as the attacker was slowly getting up, the claws of the demon ripped across his chest and then lifted him up. The dark pools that served as eyes for the large demon gazed into the eyes of the attacker, and the demon almost laughed as he smelled the sour smell of fresh urine.

“Let him go, Krillnac,” the warlock said.

“But mistress, he meant you harm…I will be swift in killing him and…”

“No! I said let him go. He will not come around here again, will you sir.”

‘NNnno, MMmma’am!”

“Put him down, Krillnac, and help me get these potatoes together then.” Zyss was shaken, but she would not show it to the assailant or to the demon, as she bent down to gather the eggs that hadn’t broken.

The demon dropped the man to the ground and watched it run away. As he turned to help the warlock, he stopped, and stared into the deepest part of the shadows against the old city wall. He could sense something, but it was still and quiet. The demon pointed at the darkness, “I see you,” it whispered. Then hurried to help Zyss gather her groceries, soon enough, the warlock was locked into her small little home preparing to make a pot of soup.

Lucifearyx stepped out of the shadows, his red eyes flared as he stared at the house, “Indeed and I see you demon.” The death knight called for his dark mount, and flew away thinking about the taking of the little warlock for his master.

(Glares at the tasty treat) "No I am not a dragon, but I do like roasted gnome. It seems you are already pretty hot." grins evilly.

BTW this guild is no longer operating on CC. Too bad it was a fun concept.

She sat on the side of the bed crying, the large thin box opened, tissue paper, and the letter still in her hand.

My lovely Zyss,

How long has it been since I gave you something pretty and useful all the same?

I love you dearly and found these in several stores throughout Dalaran, Shatt, and finally in a place called Pandaria. I just know they will look lovely on you, and you will look stunning in them.

Zyss - you make me so happy. I look forward to having this baby and we can settle down and raise it up properly, alright, him, as you so frequently tell me.

Loving you always, and forever,
Wyntar, your loving spouse

P.S. I have enclosed the papers I was working on that you thought were so gruesome. You are the co-owner of the apartment, as well as all the books and clothes...you are my heir, love. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The tag on the box detailed the regrets in losing the parcel and then finding it recently in a warehouse.

Zyss tried the items on and felt a confidence and surge of power as the items went on, and realized that Wyntar had gotten her something very wonderful and beautiful at the same time. She moved this way and that way before the mirror, and thought of Wyn as she bought them for her. Her eyes began to mist again, and Zyss dabbed at her eyes.

The warlock gathered herself, and went to the old apartment they had once shared. Everything that once occupied the place was in a storage facility, and Zyss smiled as she turned around in the main room. She quietly whispered, "I'm back, and here I shall stay."

A quiet scheduled meeting at the bank went well, and Zyss was surprised at the amount of Wyntar's estate. Zyss would never need for anything again, and she set aside an account for their son, Aristobylus, should he ever need to use it.

It took several months to get the apartment to just the way she wanted it, and she sat on the new loveseat she had purchased, and sipped a cup of tea. Her life had taken a definite upturn, and she was happy in the knowledge Wyn had provided for her.

You know it is one of the things that really irk me about Blizzards optioins for the Blood elves. Why the fel are the male hairstyles so much longer and prettier than the females? I would love to put some of that long hair on my BE female!!

((Reu, I chose this hairstyle for a variety of reasons, however the main reason being he's never had it cut. It grew down to his waist and stopped. He's somewhat different than most Sindorei, as he is very hirsute with a thick white pelt on his back and chest.

Thank you for your opinion, I myself cannot stand any of the ponytails, foxtails, or such at all they have for some of the male characters.))
