Grim Fate is a guild. Yes, a guild! And in that guild, there's a casual progression raid. And that raid is looking for people! So, let's start with some basics...

The raid itself runs Sunday from 10:00 a.m. server time until 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. We consider ourselves "casual progression" for two reasons ... the "progression" comes from us having a good history of making progress on content (I think last I checked we were 9th on the server for Horde side, something like that), and the "casual" comes from a healthy display of vibrant personalities and crude humor.

So who are we looking for? Well first and foremost, people that mesh with our style. People with a good sense of humor who can not only craft a joke but do so in a witty and grammatically correct style. It's easy to blurt out "lol my dik" and get us to sigh and shake our heads. But if you inform us that the iPad has a fleshlight attachment (real thing by the way), we will nod our heads sagely and approve of this line of discussion. If you find yourself easily offended or made awkward, you likely won't enjoy our banter.

So let's say you're our kind of person: next we'd rather like it if you're good at the "game" part of the game! That is to say, you know your class, you work on adhering to fight mechanics, you put effort into your gear, and you're generally not a bad. We do NOT follow a hardcore raiding guild philosophy of leadership, so you won't get dragged across the coals for a mistake (because we all make them, wiping is natural). However, you also don't want to be the person that we have to whisper repeated reminders to move out of the purple circle when it appears.

So what's in it for you? Well! I'm glad you asked, Laura. (I assume everyone reading this is named Laura.) As a member of the guild, repairs are completely free. We're filthy rich and prefer to give that benefit to the members. Likewise, we try to ensure that raid materials are provided - specifically flasks and feasts. You won't be asked to provide those yourself, they're on us for as long as we can!

And finally...good company. That's really anyone hopes for from the game, isn't it? A group of people who are hopefully a lot like you, are fun to talk to, and make logging in a source of entertainment and not drama? "But Raiton," Laura says in a passive-aggressive tone dripping with what I can only assume is bitterness, "All guilds have Drama. Don't give me that 'drama-free, we're a family' nonsense." You're right! All guilds do have drama, and we're quick to pluck them and toss those drama-creators aside like weeds in a garden. It's what lets us endure and keep raiding on the same day and same time for five years. In addition, we're not a family! People join because they enjoy it, and as soon as it is not enjoyable to them (or they are making it not enjoyable to others), a parting of ways occurs.

So there you have it! If you think you may fit into this mold ... someone looking for a guild/raid, with a good sense of humor, a desire to surround yourself with entertaining personalities, and maybe just a teensy bit of nudist desire, let us know! You can reply here, or send me a message in-game!
