Azeroth is facing a great upheaval, with what seems to be the end of the world descending upon it. In these troubled times, with the battles so very close to home, the priorities of many have shifted, and the things we feel are most important to us have been thrown into sharp relief. We all have something we want to protect, something or someone we would give our lives to shield from harm. Whether it be our homes or our families, or even something more material, we each have something that is dear to us, and certainly something that is worth fighting for.

The Sword and Shield is an Alliance-side RP guild lead by Baron Allard Koenig, Lady Rosalynde Koenig, Sir Ivy Rainecourt, and Sir Ashton Silverstone. Once members of the Lordaeron army, they have built upon this bond to come together and defend their homeland, and all of Azeroth, against those who would do it harm in this time of great upheaval. All races, creeds and professions are welcome, so long as they wish to protect what is rightfully theirs.
Guild chat is IC via portable Gnomish-made buzzboxes, with an OOC channel for general chat. Our focus is RP, but we support all members doing whatever it is they like best in the game. We all like different things, whether it be questing, exploring, dungeon diving, raiding, or PVP, and no one here will stop you from doing what you like with your time, especially since all aspects of the game have become so accessible for all players. We will be running RP events and guild storylines in the future, as well as explore both new and old game content together. We also have a Horde chapter, Last Bastion.
We are looking for:
- Mature players who know and respect the difference between IC and OOC.
- Literate players who do not use leet speak, who use capital letters at the beginnings of sentences and for proper nouns.
- Players with names that are RP appropriate.
- Players who are friendly and have an interest in various aspects of the game, and are looking for good company and reactive roleplay as we explore this new Azeroth together. ^_^
We do require a brief application via our guild forums from all those who are interested in joining, and a brief RP interview ingame.
