[H-RP Event] A gathering of Forsaken
08/12/2014 09:04 PMPosted by CapteyaI do believe that ICly we the public would not know about the decision made up at the throne. I thought maybe we would officially be told that the LK is truly dead and the Scourge left overs would be aimless.
That's basically what the information would help decide for us. As we know, Bolvar demanded Tirion to proclaim the Lich King as dead to the masses, as well as the overall concerns in Northrend resolved.
So I think it's more than safe for our characters to believe as much. Why or how our characters would become curious as to whether the Cult of the Damned are increasing activity would be the interesting thing to figure out. What would tip them off to make the assumption, especially years after Northrend's involvement?
However, according to Sylvanas' short story "Edge of Night", Sylvanas visited the throne after Arthas' fall and witnessed Bolvar's new position for herself. Whether she shared this infuriating information with her people or not is unknown.

(( The increased Cult activity is what I said because of a guild that finished a RP arc in Northrend, to save me from thinking of something. I'm sure others could think more fun and interesting plots. We were thinking the topic for the next gathering might be a conversation about the current state of Northrend. At the last gathering a player shared news of what her guild had observed in Northrend.08/13/2014 09:59 AMPosted by LelantasWhy or how our characters would become curious as to whether the Cult of the Damned are increasing activity would be the interesting thing to figure out. That info is not much of a reason for a character to want to go RPing in Northrend, nor is that our intent. WotLK was a big deal for Forsaken RP, we were getting our vengeance and we didn't know it at the time but, we were also getting a means to procreate. We have heard nothing officially about Northrend since the start of Cata. No progress report on the "mop up", if the Argents are even doing that. The same can be said for Outland as well, another place of hazards made or brought by the Burning legion. Northrend is in Azeroth, the Burning Legion blight still lingers. If sha was brought back to life because of our disturbance, our negative energy, then could that evil in the North be revived by accedent as well? We would think more then a few Forsaken would like to at least be informed that everything is fine. But if people think we have more important Forsaken issues to make into a topic to talk about at the next gathering please share.))

I sited Wowpedia because it's the only current canon lore we have to go by as far as activity in Northrend goes. If the current factors presented in lore are insufficient in motivating our characters to venture through Northrend long after its relevance, then it might mean that we'd, in a way, have to make up our own lore. And that's the only concern I'd have, depending on how we'd go about it.
I don't know what the specific situations this other guild had for their Northrend arc, but I'd personally be cautious in how we'd handle the potential threats that could occur there should they involve anything with the Scourge. I remember the Blackhearts had a reasonable excursion there months ago, but it had more to do with snuffing the threat of Alliance presence as opposed to anything Scourge related.

That's what I'm trying to say I guess. I can hardly ever explain myself sufficiently.08/13/2014 01:44 PMPosted by Lelantaswe'd, in a way, have to make up our own lore.
I don't know specifics about the arc ether, just hearing about it made sparks ignite in my rot brain, questions I never thought to ask before.
There will be a Forsaken based RP event on Friday the 22nd. Other races are welcome to join as well but this is not a gathering. It is going to be a traveling event through Trisfal glade and West plaguelands. Reply here or mail me in-game for calendar invite.

If I'm around that day, I'll show up.
Cool, I'll send invite. If you want Forsaken events I would also suggest checking out the Sermons on the Forgotten Shadows. Father Lucas and Irkingu host this event about twice a month. They have other speakers as well some nights. Its an open event so all can raise questions or comment and such. here is the link http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/12504202070?page=8
This Saturday evening is a play by the Trisfal Theater group. Meeting in Brill then heading as a group to the play.

The event on the 22nd is 1 of 2 legs of a caravan run from UC to Andorhal, about a week after will be the 2nd leg. The caravan would need scouts, protectors, and wagon drivers. The caravan has its job but also makes it's own profit. Players can come just to peddle their wares or to just tag along for the experience. There will be some /roll situations for hazards and games for the road.
as always you can reply here or hit me up in-game for invite. Or contact the host Morteloff.

**You happen to be in the Undercity and passing the Horde posting board, you might notice a dark robed Forsaken hammering a small black nail into the wood. The nail is driven half way when the hammer stops, the Forsaken then hangs a large patch of leather framed with a wood boarder by a horsehair string. As the undead moves away, words punched with ink can be seen, and if you can make out the words.......
"Brethren, fellow Horde souls both alive and undead! The Zephyr crew have completed the coast to coast trade mission across the breath of Kalimdor. The caravan has endured the Barrens, defeated the Stonetalon mountains, and destroyed the centaur waves in Desolace.
Now we have been hired for a new mission that takes us across the Northern Kingdoms. Join us on this adventure, there is coin to be had through the trade we will have in the towns and posts along the way. With Forsaken in mind, come to peddle your wares, sell you sword or skill for our protection, or just come along for the ride. Ether way, the trade and connections made will both help enrich our culture and make us rich with coin.
If you are interested, then meet us under the zeppelin towers in Tirisfal Glades at the date and time below. "

Brethren, It is alarming the amount of raids on the Undercity and the queen. We would request your help against the Alliance scum. All we ask is to mail us the date and time of any raid you might see when in the Undecity or other Forsaken towns. We would like to report Alliance movements after the topic for the next gathering of Forsaken. Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken, always and forever.
three more days until the caravan Zephyr embark on a grand journey for Forsaken.
%^$%, I've gotta be at work on that evening, I doubt I'll be able to make it. =/

((Dang, after your thread I thought I might meet you ICly at the caravan. No worries, next week is the 2nd half.
But not relating to the caravan, we really do want people to mail Capteya if you happen to be online in the UC or in Forsaken town and see the local defense chat go off for a raid. We would like to actually record this info so as to see if their is a trend in their frequency. Just a little attempt to observe the subconscious of Alliance players. ))

If you'd like we can arrange a meeting on the side? I've no qualms with this in any which way. :D
Might find you next week, once I have heard about the Sanctum of the Forbidden in-game.))

*clears his throat.* Sorry about that...
