Is this allowed? Because I will be making a Human on a RP server and would like to name him after a few references to a particular movie I like. See, I do not see why this would be a problem because they are all legitimate human names that happen to be also used in movies.

I can see this being a problem, for say, an orc or a goblin. But with humans is this alright to do or will a GM force me to rename?

That would depend heavily on the movie.

Kittan and Kamina are perfectly acceptable human names, yes.

A GM won't force you to do anything. Someone's going to have to report your name in order to get the ball rolling, so to speak. If it's a "legitimate" human name it shouldn't be a problem, IMHO. However, if you're aiming for "Jacktheripper," "Goku" or "Vegeta" there might be an issue.

As another poster mentioned, it depends on the name. Keep in mind, if it's from a movie, it may already be taken. It also depends on how much of a <Gnomish word> the reporter wants to be.

Just name your character, don't draw attention to it, and unless it stands out (Dracula, Legolas, Buffy) you're most likely set. If you are naming it after a movie reference, it probably does break the code. But who cares! What you need to worry about is what gets enforced. Don't draw the attention of other players, and you can do whatever. :P
