I have been playing on CC for six years (Feb 2011 will be six) and seen most of the great server role play happen before Burning Crusade. What I like in Cataclysm is the prospects for some great role play events to be created. When you can fly, there are empty unused places in each zone that beg for use in RP events. Worgen and Goblin races add another layer. I did not at first find an interest in Goblins but have really fallen for the concept of these characters ( I have always been fond of the 'acting' prospects this mmo presents). Content has been made easy which I see as a boon to role play. Guilds can now set up war games and this will make events even more livelier. My friend Ehlina has shown their enthusiasm for this added feature.
Long ago, in that first year of the server, role players created story events that have lasted in my memory ever since. I feel like Cataclysm has brought back just such an environment for role play. I am happy with the new expansion. For the first time I have created a concept guild to add my own efforts in this new role play effort. Goblin based I have hopes it will help launch great and memorable RP events like those from the first years of WoW. I am adjusting to the new Forums on the battlenet site. Those who interact with me, know I have adjusted to the blows trolls can make. I look forward to seeing the surviving concept guilds (even if they have different names now) take a place in the new chapters of Cenarion Circles role play. The spirit of role play is alive and kicking for me in the form of this new expansion.
