Here's the deal, I'm not going to bore you about how this guild is going to be a friendly leveling guild, that we have X bank tabs and a guild tabard, or how we're always wanting to help others.
Monolith is a casual guild aimed at intelligent, enthusiastic players. We do not strive to be the best, yet we strive to do the best we can. We realize mistakes happen and nobody is perfect, but there is also a fine line there. On the flip side there are way too many people who repeat their mistakes, or do not understand something and are too afraid to ask, lest they get in trouble or feel foolish. Are you the type of person that's not scared to admit you're wrong and have the competency to correct your error? If so, keep reading.
Player VS Environment -
This seems to be what most World of Warcraft players (at least on our server) are about. It requires calculated approaches, successful executions, and players learning to adapt to new combat tactics in order to stay alive while at the same time being a contribution to the group. If you agree with this, then we are interested in you.
Player VS Player -
The realm of PvP Land is filled with quick decisions, even quicker reflexes, and the uncanny ability to anticipate an enemy's next move. While this will not be our primary concern as a guild, we would like to see this flourish as a group effort to instill better teamplay and coordination within guildmates. Likewise the short games and small groups of people playing together open new doors for us all as a community, bringing us closer together as friends. Does this sound interesting yet?
Roleplay -
Our guild has a short backstory to keep in touch with the roots of our realm as an RP community. Whether you choose to partake of the story or not, is entirely of your own accord. We believe that roleplay guilds should not be overbearing or extremely influential in how someone develops their character's motivations and story. With that being said, there is only one rule in regards to roleplay that you adhere to as part of Monolith. That being, that your character believes there is a source of great power left by creatures higher themselves. It could be Titan based, Old God based, or anything else. There is a short write up regarding this relic called the Monolith, if members wish to read it to better understand.
Monolith and YOU -
---Presentation and Communication. We want members to be literate, to type as if they are literate, and to always think about how the other person will feel about what they said, before actually speaking it. Being able to clearly express yourself is going to be key around here.
---Social acceptance. The guild wants to be a community of similar, yet differently minded individuals. Think of it as a club, where we all get to hang out and have a good time. If you are more worried about getting epics than building onto strong friendships, this is going to be the incorrect place for you.
---Level of maturity. Because more than likely, there will be "f bombs", "s storms", and plenty of perverted innuendos within the guild, we ask that everyone come in with an open mind and a strong stomach. If you're offended easily by words, then there's a good chance you will not like it around these parts.
---And lastly, adaptability. It's easy to show up to a raid on time and with consumables, but have no idea what to do after that. Being able to think freely and contribute new ideas to a struggling encounter is something that we really regard about players. Thinking outside the box to come up with a way to address the issue at hand.
