Please let him know the guild I ceded to him hasn't seen him for 3-4 months, and without anyone in ranks 2/3 (disused raiding ranks), officers can't even dethrone to try and revive it.
I handed it over in good faith it would come back as a sister guild if he decided to stop playing again, don't want drama, just want to sort it out.
And a caution to other guilds - ranks 1-4 on the new dethrone tool is really 0-3. If you want to be able to take an extended absence, use 1, 2, 3 for alts. If you want to be able to let the guild go to officers, adjust the rankings, since blizz thinks we all used rank numbers to equate authority, which a lot of us didn't. Rank 4 isn't eligible, and even the senior GMs say now their hands are tied, if nobody exists in ranks below GM, they can do nothing. (Rank 4 was our officer rank and where my alt sits).
If you're a former member of Illusions of Grandeur and don't want it to die off, or even think making this whole thing automated is a mistake since it seems to be either too loose, too restrictive, or just not consider the way many people set things up, the senior GM asked me to post to get people to use the suggestions tooltip, same menu as submitting a ticket, to express ideas and alternatives to the current and previous tools.
