Night Elves are just better in my honest opinion. I have one non-night elf character, a troll I consider deleting constantly. Even though I am alright with trolls and think they have a lot of nifty stuff... Still meh.... It's just doesn't feel as amazing.

Would it have been possible for a group of night elves, during the war of the ancients, to just right out flee for their lives and head somewhere far away from Zin-Azshari, then just decide to stay there forever after the sundering?

Flee? Sure.

Stay there? No. If these elves were Highborne they'd need to practice and use magic. If they were Kaldorei they'd likely go back after the war was over.

What if the place in question was Un'Goro, surrounded by three supposedly never-ending deserts, and what if the Sundering had scared them into thinking they were the only ones left? >_>

If it's Ungoro, consider this:

-Eldre'Thalas is very close to the area.
-The entire crater is swarming with creatures that would likely eat those who were not properly prepared
-They had to cross the entirety of Tanaris to get there and avoid the Sand Trolls
-They had to have no contact with anyone. And considering Night Elves had cities that far south it'd be unlikely that they'd have been secluded.

It'd still be highly unlikely.

Ah. Thank you. So even without memory loss or the increase in physical ability, it'd still be possible for all that to happen. Unlikely, but possible.

I don't know why you even asked then.

I won't say it's impossible because I don't claim things are impossible without total proof. However 'highly unlikely' is very close to impossible.

I have a feeling that you'd continue RPing the way you have regardless of my answer.

I've a question that I didn't see already. Direct me to it if I missed it, please.

While Night Elves have a natural resistance to nature, poisons, etc (see their racials), do they have any specific tolerance of other climates?

See what Ilthilior is wearing now? The pants, single shoulderpad, gloves and boots? That's his RP set. Let's say I want to go into...Dun Morogh. It's freaking cold there. Would Ilthil have to bundle up a lot, or just put on some simple clothing so he would'nt freeze over?

It isn't particularly mentioned, however Night Elves do inhabit places like Winterspring. I'd honestly say they'd have a cold resistance greater than humans but lower than dwarves. So I'd say medium clothing would be fine... but thin linen clothes or going shirtless would probably not be the best idea.

Also remember that cold resistance isn't entirely physical. Depending on your character's willpower they may be able to resist the cold.

There's also the matter of the War of the Shifting Sands one thousand years ago, in which I remember correctly, the Night Elf forces retreated into Un'Goro where the Silithid just stopped chasing them out of fear. So I would assume any lost night elves there would find the night elf forces there and realize they weren't the only ones left. Unless they were THAT hidden.

Night Elves live for approximately three hundred years before naturally dying; however some are capable of living for a thousand years even without immortality.

According to the RPG book and other sources, Night Elves can live into their 2,000's.

The much more recent results from WoW Encyclopedia states that all elves, High/Blood/Night have very close lifespans. Blood Elves can live about 300 years, with some being upwards to 2,000.

Except Night Elves were immortal and lived forever until about ten years ago. I don't really expect any to get old and die in the next three hundred years. High and Blood Elves, perhaps.

Oh, me either. I'd imagine that any elf that was at old age when given their immortality they'd probably have died one way or another over the ten thousand year stretch. As such, most Kaldorei have a decent life ahead of them still (by mortal standards).

Honestly, the sources are so conflicted that I don't think we can really say there's a definitive answer for Kaldorei lifespan post-immortality. There have been numbers anywhere from 2000 to 700 to 300 years. None more reliable than the other. /shrug

Night Elf: save a tree, wipe your butt with an owl.

My pet is a jade owl. ;_;

This is my owl. There are many like him, but this one is mine.
