Spring? Other than the itchy, watery eyes, I hadn't noticed - it's now May and we still keep the frigging heat on because it's too cold in the house without it!

Yeah it hit like. Fourty something yesterday.

So how was the weather this morning at your home in Innsmouth Liore?

Perfect weather for vegetable soup with crackers.

I'd rather have the chowder.

There is nothing contemplative about the north east. We aren't out here spooning creamer into a cuppa black. We aren't gazing dispassionately out rain-kissed windows. Huddled in thick knit, fingers entangled in sailor beards.

There's no romance to being a New England man, but for the lies we tell the rest of the country.

*rubs hand through Liore's thick sailor beard*

Uh huh. So tell me about this New England hospitality I've heard so much about.

Weather.

It was 75, sunny, and beautiful. I spent 7 hours on a pool deck.

BUT! I got free dinner, so all is well.

I've also had the disturbing realization that my sense of time is measured by the fact that the outdoor pools open in two weeks.

I could definitely go for some sun bathing on a pool deck right about now.
