I get that but it still doesn't answer my question.04/12/2014 02:17 PMPosted by Threeslotbag04/11/2014 06:16 PMPosted by VynathlonWhy can't anyone read that Blizzard gave us answers, not asking us to give them questions?
I'm trying to answer people's lore questions, but they really don't seem to get that the thread isn't about that. I think it's that this thread is linked on a lot of other places like the frontpage, so it's bringing posters here that have very little lore knowledge, or apparently reading comprehension.

Well, here is a lore question for YOU Vynathlon. Do you believe that 10 years from now Sylvanas will be the leader of the Forsaken, and still the power in Lordaeron?

Yes. Because Blizzard will have been unable to act on Alliance aggression and wouldn't have come to an agreement on how to handle it which wouldn't cause the Forsaken to lose its capital city while simultaneously juggling the concerns of Horde fans as well.04/14/2014 02:09 AMPosted by Threeslotbag04/13/2014 01:04 PMPosted by VynathlonI get that but it still doesn't answer my question.

If the game was following a purely lore-based perspective then Sylvanas would have been overthrown by now. The problem lies in game mechanics. In addition to Sylvanas's death, the Alliance has already expressed their concern with reclaiming Lordaeron.
Blizzard can either construct a new raid that would cause the rest of the world to attack the Undercity and overthrow the Banshee Queen and then relocate the Forsaken's capital city and starting quests elsewhere, OR they can do nothing and pretend like the concerns will go away on their own. Personally I believe they'd rather do nothing than go to a lot of extra work just to keep the Alliance fans satiated.

I agree with you 100%. Sylvanas is well loved by Horde players and Forsaken players especially. They have no replacement for her at all, and it wouldn't make sense anyway. Right now with the Forsaken they need to have them take a step or 2 back from being so toxic. I'm hoping this will happen in War Crimes.

We'll see. But I doubt it. Sylvanas will likely get more lore but I doubt anything will change about the Forsaken's position, nor on Sylvanas's opinion on the war situation.04/14/2014 12:11 PMPosted by Threeslotbag04/14/2014 11:36 AMPosted by VynathlonYes. You know, I get bothered of what happened after fighting Xin the Weaponmaster. Did the mogu leaders of their clans kill themselves in that all out brawl or did they disappear?

With all their talk about the proud mogu empire's dominance, they probably committed ritual suicide.

Funny, but interesting that happened and didn't tell us if they survived or ritual suicide. Thanks for the confirmation.

I'm not an official source, and I don't know what happened to them, but that was an educated guess. If you stand around their melee lasts forever, and none of them nor their clans are ever seen again.

Although when you kill Xin the Weaponmaster, they are gone. So still undetermined if they survived in someway or ritual suicide.

I find it unlikely that we ever get an answer, as I don't think we'll ever see the Mogu again. We not only crushed their armies, and kill pretty much all their leaders, we took/destroyed the machinery they need to reproduce.

Seasons change and tyrants die. Did Lei Shen die of old age
Lei Shen had brothers
In "Death From Above" short story, Quillen lick up mogu blood
One of the paragons brags about how he painted with mogu blood
"
Young Lei Shen was born the son of a warlord in the terrible Age of a Hundred Kings. Like his brothers, he was strong of arm and fluent in the ways of war. But unlike others of his generation, he spoke of more than conquest. The legends of his forefathers were etched into his heart.
Once Lei Shen had come of age and commanded his own legions, he announced his intent to awaken the gods. Only his most loyal of followers accompanied him where no mogu had dared tread: into the very heart of the Thundering Mountain, the sacred home of the one the mogu had called their master.
Lei Shen descended into the mountain.
But it was the Thunder King who returned."
Son of a warlord?
Born?
Come of age?
Zandalari torn journal states
"But that was weeks ago. Now I'm slogging through a swamp, digging up statues in the rain. The mogu look down on us. I can see it, at least in the ones that have eyes. Some of them are just stones, with stones for hearts and stones for brains."
the ones that have eyes?
are some mogu flesh?

04/30/2014 11:34 PMPosted by Pulgariare some mogu flesh?
The answer to that is "Yes, No, Maybe". Mogu were originally stone robots, but the Old Gods got them with the "Curse of the Flesh".
Lei Shen the Thunder King found the technology to turn them back, but instead of all going back to stone, they did all kinds of weird stuff. They put some people into golems, took some spirits from dead mogu and put them into alive mogu, and made a bunch of mutants with flesh shaping.

Could we get more elaboration on this?
Ew, that's a can of worms. So The Light, Naaru, Elune, and An'she are all the same?

The Holy Light is a natural source, just like Shadow is as well.
The Naaru are a direct means of gaining that power. Elune, being an actual deity, probably uses the Holy Light, and her disciples draw that power directly from Elune. Since all of the Seers and Sunwalkers talk about the Light, I think An'she is just their name and story for it, but their powers are coming from the Light.

NEs like to believe that Elune isn't just a generic Naaru though. Saying her power is exactly the same in lore (and not just how it functions in game) takes away a lot of what makes her special.
