I'll ask around to see if I find anyone, but I think if you join allianceooc and ask when you log on you can find at least someone versus needing to schedule it.
Like RP? Come See Scenic Cenarion Circle!
Thank you, Sizy. I appreciate the thought and care you put into this. If this is any inkling as to what I'll find here, I may have found a new home.
The one and only ultra romantic Jorym? In this thread?! :o
CC is an extremely friendly server. Please join the allianceooc channel and make sure to mention you're new. Provided it's not 6 AM or something, you should get a lot of warm welcoming and people willing to pick your brain to find you a good guild-home.
Also, feel free to add me on a friend's list or something. I'm more than willing to help!
Edit: may also be worth mentioning I'm holding a contest next weekend to give away a free jeweled panther mount. :)

I'm so sorry I missed this channel, we held an Event last night for Cenarion Circle. A RP event is scheduled every Friday and there is a posting on these forums, The Tillers Council horde and alliance alike, I've sent out invitations to the AAMS, to translate and join in. We have pandarans, blood elves, taurens all joining in so far. If you wish to come see and make your Farmers title a little funner! This is not guild specific, so all are welcome! 7 pm Fridays at Halfhill!
Well you're a Tall One and the Tall Ones buy my gadgets so it's only self interest that makes me want to help you find a comfortable home inside our super exciting city of Stormwind. At any moment there could be an explosion in the Dwarven District, a round of drinks at Blue Recluse being spilled on the floor from an overabundance of laughter, or a gathering of those religious types at the Cathedral. Almost always someone there doing that. Yeah.
There's a tavern in Booty Bay that I go to on Tuesday's because the Gnome that cooks in it is a-MAZ-ing. Oh my sprockets. She is so fun too. Love Cup. And I bumped into a druid similar to Aloom. Or was she magically gifted? I don't remember but she told me I was adorable next to my bestest friend Stylin' Sizzle, because we look so much alike. Yep. Stormwind is a good city. As soon as I get my KickStoolStep and StompLift installed on every chair and bar in the city, it'll also be Gnome-friendly.
*Unrolls a map to check that it's not a schematic of hers and assured, she hands it to Jorym.*
This map has all the locations I talked about on it. If you can't find a guide, you'll at least have a map. Oh my sprockets, look at my eternium time communicator. I have to go. Romance novels to read and inventions to invent.

*The paladin noticed and watched the graceful night elf druid that went by the name of Aloom. His thoughts were as to why she wore the mask, and if she would allow him a chance to see what kind of woman hid behind a mask. Somehow he knew her eyes would be the feature that would stir his heart and emotions. But alas, he too was shy about meeting such a woman as the druidess Aloom.*
Skittering madly through the streets of Orgrimmar, Abominus pushed a wheelbarrow full of screaming human heads. They were screeching in horroble tune, a Maggot waving a conductors baton perched above them, with a small group of first chairs from the Imperial Maggot Marching Band and Orchestra of Dhoom playing "Dark Maiden Fair from Undercity". Passersbye blanched in horror, and fled, covering their ears at the aural assault.
"Wot dis be, den? A zombie wid a buncha heads, and lil' worms all screechin? Dis be legal?" asked a new Kor'kron recruit, wincing in pain as the Maggot Lord approached the Portal to Pandaland.
His sergeant nodded, stuffing a handkerchief into his ears. "Yeah, that be Abominus. He's a crazy deadite, an' more trouble then he is worth. Let 'im pass, fer yer skin's sake, boy!" , he yelled, as the recruit made to get into the Forsaken's way.
They watched as the crazed Forsaken carroomed into the portal at full tilt, not even slowing down to check where he was going.
"I hope dey likes singin' 'eads at dat fancy monastery, cause I tink dat's where he is headed. get it, headed?" The sergeant guffawed at his own joke.
Over the Shadow Pan monastery, a portal opened and closed, and a shrill scream was heard by the guards, who looked up.
"Hmm, that is a wheelbarrow full of heads, and a zombie. I think I need to drink more," said one.
"Before you do, take cover," said the other.
The heads began to fall...

Guh. I don't know why I fell away from RP (oh yeah, because Cata bored me and I needed to save the fifteen a month :s ). I remember rolling on CC at one point and absolutely loving it. I may just have to go again. :3
This time, however, as Alliance. The Alliance lore makes me very happy.
I'm still not entirely sure what race and class, though. Something very open-ended that I can make my own, preferably.
I'll definitely have to mull this over on the character select screen for a few hours. :3

Wow. A global-wide IC channel you say? Where has CC been buried? I only ever hear about WrA and MG.
Well you know how Moon Guard has that reputation and Warmest is so big that that's all anyone ever talks about. We're the smaller cousin standing behind them in the family photo where you can only see our shoes.
I want to make a character on CC, now. It sounds really fun, and I LOVE the global OOC and IC channels.
One question remains for me: How is the random, world RP? Must one be in a guild, and take part in its story, to see much RP? I have limited, sporadic times to play, and while I love RPing during those times they do not allow for consistent RP commitments.
It depends on you honestly. Most of the random on our server happens in hubs and in the evening. So the Blue Recluse or the Salty Sailor for instance. The more you know people in the community, the more randomness opens up for short bursts. For instance, I ran into Gentyl (leader of Pia Presidium) at the Brawler's Pit and we had a short interaction. I've run into people at the Auction House and carried on a conversation for a bit as well. But it becomes more common the more you get to know the people on the server.
Most of our guilds don't require a complete interaction in the story, just a connection to it. Like for Wellspring School, you're a teacher or a student. For Pia Presidium, you're a guardian of the Light. For Conclave, you're a pursuer of knowledge. For Lluchuu Oeliad (I think I mispelt that but Imperon can correct it), you're part of Imperon's 'Family.'
Some of the RP guilds on the server have pretty extensive storylines that you can belong to, but we have a fair allotment of events and open RP interactions to keep it casual and friendly. There's a list of events posted on the forum that's pretty accurate still even though it was last updated more than 6 months ago. If anything, this server is consistent.

There is a lot more open and random rp Alliance side than Horde. But if you go into the global channels you can set up meetings and rp almost any time. That is generally what the channels are used for. Get to know people and make some contacts.
Also attending events helps you to meet people. If your time zone does not allow this then you will just have to go to the major hub cities and strike up conversations. With CRZ there are lots of people everywhere so you will not run out of people to interact with.

I made a Goblin Priest and a Gnome DK so I could check out both sides. It's definitely busier on the Alliance side, but Horde has its moments (and sometimes it's busier). There's plenty of activity in the OOC channels, and I'm starting to get a feel for some of the guilds and storylines.
Definitely check out Cenarion Circle if you're looking for more roleplayers. It's a good bunch of people.
And play Horde. We need you.

Just wait Sneeve. As this patch/expansion winds down, you'll see a lot of people swap over to their hordelings. Then the complaints will be from the Ally side.
