an·tag·o·nist [an-tag-uh-nist]
noun
1. a person who is opposed to, struggles against, or competes with another; opponent; adversary.
Conflict, struggle, opposition are the things that drive story and character development — they are essential ingredients; without harrowing, trying, brutalizing experiences, our wonderful characters will stagnant and grow old and boring. Conflict can both be internal and external. The latter of which I wish to pay special attention to, currently: the external, which often times takes the shape of individual(s), or antagonist(s).
I was contemplating all this, and I came to the conclusion: "We need a collective list of antagonists." And so I started concocting this thread in the hopes that people who wish to act as antagonist could do so for the betterment of role-play by putting down not only just their contact information but what kind of antagonist they are.
There are many people who love to play the antagonistic side of role, and so this thread is dedicated to those, in the hopes of bringing to light many of those great and few role-players. Additionally, those who are seeking antagonists to progress some aspect of their role-play need only place an ad here as well. This thread could potentially be used as a networking tool for antagonists, as well. See someone with a similar alignment/affiliation? Then strike up some role-play with them and begin something you would've normally not have had the chance to do.
In addition, to reiterate a point mentioned previously: non-antagonists can (and are encouraged to) post here if they're searching for one. This thread's here to help bridge the gap in some small way for both parties.
Also, please be aware that not all your information will not be contained in my post. Do not delete, alter, or in any other way change your own post without first posting a notification. I decided to condense what's contained on the actual listings - and added a note to see your own post - which should conserve a lot of space and help me avoid running out. Only your in-game name, faction, and race will be featured on the list in my post.
The people listed here on this thread want to be contacted — so if you see someone on that list that catches your interest, that might progress that one storyline you've been anxiously trying to get underway, contact them and set something up. This listing isn't here just for show, it's here to facilitate role-play.
For single antagonists, your format:
For antagonistic guilds, your format:
For those seeking antagonists, your format:
You may also wish to indicate which category you wish to be placed in. Label your post with either, "antagonist," or "protagonist," and I'll make sure they find the right place, instead of it all being left to my discretion.
