I noticed quite a few lately, people posting they cannot find rp or are not happy where they are. So I thought it would be a good idea to have one thread with a theme of rpers looking for a realm/group/guild to get together.

Very simple idea. Like a sign up sheet. List your name of the character you want to focus on. (Posting on that character is best.) Maybe I will list it like this:

What is important to you in the game? Player interaction, cooperation, downing the latest bosses? Tell it all in a brief summary of what you desire in a realm. Also state your time zone and when you are most active in the game.

When you see someone listed who seems like a character you want to meet? Best bet is to send them an in game email and set up a meeting. Or post in here with a desire to meet.

Type of realm you want: RP

Kind of RP you favor: Casual random + short-term storylines with a definite "end" to them - I prefer not to get pulled into something that requires intense attention indefinitely.

Skills and preferences: I'm a very good RPer but not that great at the game (yet) since I've never really focused on it. I would like to learn more! Mostly I love experiencing the game world and would like to have some familiar faces (IC/ooc) to experience it with who share my enthusiasm for make-believe and fantasy (as opposed to just numbers & gear).

Kind of rp you favor (story based, tavern-casual random, military, town or city, guild based): I like story based and immersive interactions, romance is fun, with a mature partner

Basic background or bio: IRL- retired woman with lots of free time-love to write stories and play them out on forums and in game-stay at home caregiver

Skills and preferrences: I am best at healing, but love to dps as well, not the best of tanks, but will try with the right group of patient people. I use addon called Healbot and also several rp addons like Tongues, MyRp, and altoholic. Have all the standard addons like DBM, Omen, Recount

I love rp first and also like to make new friends. I do not like rude people or elitiests of any kind. If you are really good, you do not need to rub it in anyones face, they will like you better if you do not brag. I am on west coast and frequently spend nights farming for mats and hoping to find other night owls for fun rp. I am a generous, kind person who will help out with rp, leveling and dungeons, as well as crafting.

Basic background or bio: Mostly RP's on the forums, plays on BWR so not alot of rp ingame

Skills and preferrences: Cat Dps.

I look for people who are willing to RP and quest at the same time my time available after school from 3-10:30 weekend varies and during extended school break varies as well ussually from 11:00 am to anytime later

Type of realm you want (rp, or rp/pvp): Wyrmwrest Accord, mah current realm. (It's an awesome RP realm that ACTUALLY RPs. :D)

Kind of rp you favor (story based, tavern-casual random, military, town or city, guild based):Any, really. I love walk-ups, but am not really a fan of military RP.

Basic background or bio: RPed a lot on forums in the past, before I discovered WoW. First started playing on a normal realm, and made a couple characters on WrA a couple years ago. Made this character in June of this year.

Skills and preferrences: DPS. On all my characters, I'm DPS. I suck at healing, and suck at Tanking. I'm also a very good RPer, and I RP daily in SW.

If you feel like RPing with me, just make a character on WrA. Ya gotta be Alliance, obviously. And, if you have MRP and see me, read mine if you want and please give me feedback.

(Now, I'm not new to Roleplaying, per say, but i am looking for a server on WoW that actually DOES RP, and I'm having trouble with this. Does anyone here that rp know if their server actuallytakestheir RPing seriously?

On all the role playing servers there are a few who take it seriously and TONS who don't. It 's a game and you will find few who actually take it that seriously.

Blizzard does not cater to the rpers. The game is set up to allow it, not for it to be all that can be done. So you will find some good rpers when you look and put some effort into proper spelling and grammar, and take care not to be a Mary Sue or a special snowflake.

Take time to read the above stickies and follow the advice there. Go to the realm forums and find out how they organise their events and chat channels. By all means, make your characters on the more popular rp servers like Moonguard, Wyrmrest Accord, Cenarion Circle, Emerald Dream, Earthen Ring and there are others. Check them all out by rolling a character and spending some time in the cities and looking for rpers.

Use the addons like MyRp, or TotalRp, they help you spot fellow rpers and give you a way to expand your own profile. Good rpers are out there, you have to be one to spot them and interact in a good way.
