Love RP? Itching for a new alt? Read on!
I'm an adult (aged 35), writer, longtime RPer and casual WoW player. Here's the idea I had for any mature, RP-minded folks who are interested in starting a fresh character and having some regular leveling-buddies.
****
MAJOR CAVEAT: I can really only play WoW on non-holiday weekdays Mon-Fri, between 9am Pacific time (noon Eastern) and 3pm Pacific (6pm Eastern). So basically, when most people are at work or school (including my daughter!). So if you are not available during the US workday, you need read no further. :(
*****
GENERAL IDEA: Regular meeting times (frequency up to whoever's interested) on either Cenarion Circle or Wyrmrest Accord server (TBA). We start new characters, RP them together in a sort of casual, flexible storyline, and level them up together doing dungeons and quests IC. Maybe even Battlegrounds if you're into that! There will be rough goals for each meeting (like, run through X & Y dungeon, or do X quest chain) and there will also be some leeway for you to do your own thing outside of the meetings, so long as you stay in a decent level range of the group.
DETAILS: To be worked out depending on who's interested. I'm open to Horde or Alliance, any race, and I will play whatever class is most needed for the group. We can go very deep with the storyline or just keep it basic and vague ("group of friends practicing their skills"). I am willing to meet as infrequently as once a week, or as often as every non-holiday weekday (if the every-day meetings are no more than about an hour and a half on average - I do have writing to do, too!)
The most important things to me are 1) availability during this odd timeframe and 2) interest in roleplaying a character as opposed to being overly obsessed with gear and racing to level cap and being uber. I'm a smell-the-roses type and love immersing myself in Azeroth.
I prefer responses on this board, because I have a bajillion alts and may not check Mishalah's mail often. :-)
Let's just start by seeing who is available during this timeframe and thinks it sounds like a cool idea. I would like a group of 3-5 people before we start hammering out details like who wants to tank, how are we going to structure this, etc.
INTERESTED SO FAR:
-poMishalah, enjoys any role/race, waiting to choose based on others
-poAlviira, interested in a disc/shadow priest, no preference to faction
-*poFuren, interested if group is on CC server, wants a Horde warlock
-poNia, interested if group is on WRA or SoE server, prefers Alliance
-*poGentyl, interested if CC/Alliance
-poGwainith, interested if on WRA, slight Alliance preference
-*poNorbil, interested if on WRA, may be willing to try CC
-*poTlachinolli, willing to do anything anywhere but craving a NE priest!
-poSohei, either server, either side, must leave by 2pm Pacific (5pm Eastern)
(Ignore the stars, they're to remind me of who I've talked to at most length so far or who has had particular suggestions :-) )
