Sounds very interesting, once I get my router system back up I'll either be transferring over or creating a new character, and this seems like a great chance to get into CC RP.

So the Netherguard will be Draenei-only, correct? In that case, I'll have to brush up on some lore!

Not really Draenei-only...just poke me in-game if you want to chat.

The alt I'm using right now to scope out things is named Drayson. Ill keep an eye out for you Rhudran so I can get more info on this.

And for anyone else please feel free to approach Drayson. It'll be kind of fun trying to improvise his personality and story on the fly.

Okay this comment pushed me that much closer to transferring here.

Seriously though, I applaud the general atmosphere of CC forums. I'm certain the realm itself is equally wonderful.

He was sitting in a bar having lunch with three elves an another Orc.

Well, I think I've finally decided to take the plunge. I should be transferring within the week.

One other question:

I know the Blue Recluse gets some RPers but are there any other hot spots?

The Blue Recluse is our major hotspot for random RP, but CC is a smaller community than WrA. There's not as much walk-up here. I've been a roleplayer on both, and while I found more rp on WrA, I found better RP on CC. The quality just seems better.

There are events practically every week - Pia Presidium usually runs "Troubadour Night" in Ironforge every other Monday (next one is next week, as I recall), Feathers of Iron hosts a tavern in Booty Bay, Genevra (my guild master) runs a sermon at the gazebo outside the Cathedral in Stormwind on Wednesday...and I'm not sure if AAMS and associates still runs the Caer Darrow event (Thursday, as I recall?). Plus, Pia Presidium occasionally has knighting ceremonies and the like.

For the "non-scheduled" stuff, the walk-up, hi-how-are-ya types, the Recluse is (usually) the best spot for that.

I don't roleplay, but I do like the stories sometimes.

You know, Gulrok, that is perfectly fine! One thing I will say about CC is that it is very RP friendly. I've been here a few years now and can count the number of times I have been griefed on one hand.

In fact, the last time I had an event griefed I sent the guild leader an ingame letter explaining what happened. Within 24 hours I got a reply saying that he was sorry for the way his member acted and that he would be disciplined by missing out on the guild's scheduled raids until the player apologized. A day later I received an in game mail from the player saying he was sorry and that he doesn't normally grief and that his guild leader had installed a no-RP-griefing policy whereas anyone caught griefing would be gkicked, along with a donation of 500 gold.

I met up with the GM and he told me about the policy, and pretty much said the same thing you are saying Gulrok, that while he isn't a role player, he enjoys the stories and even some of the events; like our world pvp battles that result from RP story lines.

Speaking of which, expect more world PvP coming soon to a defenseless alliance/horde town near you!

On CC we have two guilds called the <AAMS> and <AAMS Alliance Branch> for their respective factions that serve as couriers in an RP fashion. They're invaluable to the server, both in day-to-day RP and cross-faction RP. I know GHI is used by a lot of their members. It's a neat little addon.
