I'm simply trying to make the argument that somethings are simply there for game mechanics and gameplay purposes. For instance, I don't think Varian is standing in front of his chair 24/7 staring blankly into space. Blizzard put that in place, but that doesn't mean he's actually doing it.

Is there a citation? Saying, "Metzen said this" is something people need a citation for. Can't have people putting words in the man's mouth, and we want to be sure.

And the quote in question:

... if anything this is saying that the novels are canon. He never says what is 'less canon', which could mean the RPGs at the time are 'less canon' than say the books.

I doubt there will be a positive outcome if I get into a debate anyway. I'll be here all night arguing with people who seem to adamantly disagree and won't change if I don't stop.

If Blizzard really didn't want to put a Mage trainer and Exodar portal in the middle of the Temple of Elune, they wouldn't have done so. They would put it in the Gilneas area seeing as how they were added in Cataclysm with the implementation of Worgen.

They seem intent on reporting. It's best just to ignore it, now... I want to hand each of you cupcakes! :D

Furthermore, your speculative quote is without context. He says "some things are less canon" without specifying what. This 'less canon' was actually the line towed when refering to the RPG books. If anything, the entire quote points to the novels being canon.

Because there is an inherent logical error in a king that stands in front of a throne all day and rarely does anything. As for the arcane portal, that is a matter of fantasy.

Someone is bored/has no life/is a fun spoiler or really is just jealous because no one loves them.

The mass false reporting is coming from both sides, unfortunately. However, it does make me wonder if there's a third-party involved doing this to place the blame on a particular person (who has been accused of such in the past) and cause a flame war.

For example, your post was just reported by someone. It'd be a shame if this thread was nuked because of this crap.
