I figured it was probably Grummak, but I wasn't sure of most of the details. I still remember wandering into Razor Hill on my Tauren hunter and finding Grummak in the inn, under a self-imposed house arrest. I think I spent most of an evening there, sitting and talking with him.

Suffice it to say, I know the man who attempted to kill him.

Well, one of them, at least. Any idea who your friend's character was?

He's not willing to share that just yet :P

To be honest, a lot of people tried to kill Grummak. I somewhat doubt I'd even remember the guy's name if he /did/ share it.

(Unless it's someone like Pungo.)

Cripes, I forgot about Pungo. What a memory you have.

You might be able to forget him, but the Horde cannot. I still think of him every time I see a rogue teleporting around, and idly wonder if they're pungo spamming print screen again. I swear he hit that key more than any other human being alive.)

Seeing that little report, my first guess was Pungo, followed closely by Scanlon.

In retrospect though, Caratacus/Team Penguin was a bit late for Pungo/Scanlon to still be using Dal'rends and D1. My brain hurts trying to decide exactly who this might have been.

Pungo wasn't much an RPer. Therrian/Scanlon, however..

I *think* Team Penguin was still pre-BC, but I can't say for sure. Also, no, I don't remember Pungo being an RPer, but I feel like he tagged along for a lot of the world PvP (when he wasn't busy in Orgrimmar).

Most of Swift Ret tagged along despite not being rpers, heh.

Pungo rped a bit with Gen, but she rped with everyone and a lot of people went with it. Probably thought it was easier to just play along with the lunatic.

Wow. Pungo was kind of proud of his ability to annoy horde. Guess it worked.

Glass used to rp quite a bit with her.

"Glass, what are you doing there?"

"Oh, just giving these children a chance to have some outdoor activities."

"You're taking them to camp?'

"Sort of. I just sold them to slavers. They'll get a lot of fresh air."

Swift Ret, forgot that name also. Now y'all are making me feel bad for forgetting so much stuff. Yikes forgot about Scanlon also.

Well, he was an exploiting pvp geared rogue :P he was painful >>

Therrian was the main RPer of the bunch, to be honest, I think, and a lot just followed his lead. (Scanlon rped on his own too, though.)

Caratacus? Pre-BC. I remember tangling with him in Dun Morogh before I got my first epic ground mount at level 60. ....and failing...somehow I thought I could defeat all four of them with my little measly self. XD

Oh, I know he was a pain. I'm surely not denying that. I had just forgotten about him. I never thought of Pungo as a rper, more as a harasser of horde who would occasionally rp. I've just forgotten a lot of these names. I'll think of an excuse for that later.

I don't imagine any of us ever saw him as an RPer, heh

Indeed. He was rather tickled that no one remembered him at this point.

Undecided if he should be happy that no one does, to prevent the wails and the moans, with the gnashing of the teeth, or if he's sad that his Infamy did not live up to his legacy.

I don't think anyone actually cares, man. What does he expect? We'll go "Oh my god, he's one of the 100 people that /almost/ killed some dude that played 7 years ago! This really rustles my jimmies."

Nah, not what's gonna happen. At most, someone would have gone "Oh, huh, yeah, I recognize that name, cool enough, I guess." And... that'd be about that.

Now, well. To be hones,t dude just sounds a bit full of himself/has an inflated ego. I can assure you he's definitely a bit perturbed that no one remembers him from some vague half-description, if that was his response to the matter.

Yeah, unless he's one of a small handle of folks, we probably won't just come up with his name outright. But when/if I hear it, there's a decent chance I'll recognize it.

I hope it's Sweaglenodes.

Omgosh Now Sweaglenodes I did rp with. Whenever I'd go to SS to defend he was positive I had secretly followed him there and was after his fabulous mine he had found that was going to make him rich. I used to have several ss of him and chatlogs of his conversations with me.

He did one routine that was kind of Labyrinthesque. Laughed so hard.
