The signs and flyers were easily dismissed by those passing by. Not all of them advertised the same event, or were even in the same style. Some were for book club meetings, store sales, or the odd personal add. While all very real, the only thing they seemed to have in common were they were also all incredibly mundane, barely sparking the interest of majority of folks who glanced at them.
Oh, and a unusually large portion of the signs seemed to be posted only a few feet from the ground.
For those who were at eye level, however, and knew what to look for, the message was very clear...
