I was going to say, Narn - a bit of a doublestandard, there. Non-RPers do it, but RPers do it, and suddenly, !@#$storm. As you say, it's not only RPers - and does, infact happen on both sides.

And believe me when I say it's not only Horde RPers who've attempted this sort of thing.

Edit: On the contrary, Zl - you've harassed both Raoul and Krinda in whispers, to my memory, both RPers. Defending RPers so long as they're Alliance isn't going to earn you many points, so please, take off the rose-tinted shades.

I'm sure it happens both ways, believe me.

But the corpse camping got out of hand, and several people from the Alliance's ooc channel asked a PvP group to forcibly stop it. And they did.

Whether he went to the point of whispering someone Horde-side or not, we'll never know since you say he did, and he denies it. So, there's really no point in arguing that, unless someone has proof.

As I've said, and others, we really don't care if you want to camp the Horde graveyard, or bring more PvP to us post Tol Barad, or whatever, though it is silly to act as if it only happens on one side, especially when it's RPers leading the charge to 'camp their graveyard back!' - it's the conduct on the forums that catches my eye, along with the whispering - I'll have to see if Krin or Ra have an SS.

That said, I think we can all see what bringing this !@#$ to the forums does - look at this thread. Look at the derailed NAACP thread. Look at the 'farming' thread.

The Allianceooc channel never asked anyone to camp the Horde, just to force the horde campers off of our graveyard. Anything else they did was not at our request.

And the forum wars should die down soon enough.

And HordeOOC has never said 'Let's camp the Alliance graveyard!'.

Yet here we are, with RPers on both sides doing the same thing.

/No one/ can act high and mighty over it.

Like I said in a post above, if they're going to GY *%!%, I'm not going to play nicely. I didn't whisper them because they were RPers, they don't get special immunity from me because they were GY !#%@#@.

On a side note, I have no problem with World PvP, GY Camping, Corpse Camping, etc., but I will help my faction stop the people doing it. I don't like the same pack of people doing it habitually, so I'm going to stop them. It's honestly nothing personal.

Then please, don't make it seem so personal, at least not on the forums. It looks bad for the server.

That's all I'm asking. I can't say I approve of the whispering, but ignore exists for a reason.

I want to appreciate your sentiments, I really do. As a PvPer at times myself, I love the idea of more PvP on this server - especially people who aren't out to troll RPers. But the 'farming' thread, the screenshots, all of /this/ leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't get me wrong. I've gamed a ton competitively in the past, with some of the worst communities of all time. I get trash talking.

But when it's dragged to the forums, it makes us look like A) dbag PvPers, or B) whiny RPers.

PvPers don't want a realm where everytime they PvP they deal with whiny RPers, and RPers don't want a realm full of dbag PvPers.

Note: This read is going by fairly fast, so I'm altering my response as it all comes in. Apologies if things are a bit, uh, unorganized.

I'm not really sure where the idea I'm some king stroking his ego with minions came from. It happens with or without me, and I hardly do it to feel better about myself. (It turns out we both decided to stop playing nice with people that irked us. Ah, the cycle of revenge.)

I don't deny the GY camping is a *%@@ move, really. Easily avoidable as it is, it still is, as you said, thuggish. So I hardly mind if you show up to defend the folks throwing themselves at it, since I'd do much the same. I'd still prefer you avoid all those forum topics, though. It just makes the server look bad.

To be honest, that whispering thing isn't much of an issue, now that the intent behind it was revealed. I was just curious and felt it contradictory, since no mention was made at the time about the graveyard camping in the slightest. (Hell, the whispering didn't even occur on a night when we did camp.) As I said, ignore exists for a reason. I was just curious, so thank you for clarifying now. It might be a good idea to let people know that in the future, though :p

That said, I didn't actually stop graveyard camping because someone showed up to fight back.(Although due to the timing, I can understand why one would think that) As I said, I /enjoy/ those fights. I stopped because, simply put, it was a *%@@ move, and I grew tired of responding to unpleasant behavior with unpleasant behavior of my own, especially when it was hurting far more people than just those it was directed at. We'd all make a pretty !@#$ty Batman, it turns out.

All that said, I hope we can let all this die down and the forum warring settle, considering things have been clarified some.

I don't actually remember what you're talking about, to be honest, unless this was that one fight near the bridge after the battle that actually prompted you lot to come over to tell me how terribad I am in whispers. I don't remember spitting on you, as I was sort of busy fighting (that feral was really painful,) but even if I did, er....what's your point, exactly? I never said "omg spitting and emotes are terrible" anywhere in this thread. Spit all you want. And if it was one of my friends (as I said, I don't have cronies,) then, uh... I still fail to see the point of this post. It just reeks to me of just wanting to compare e-peens, when that's not what the topic is about in the slightest.

And if you can't find the %^-*!@# "Leave Tol Barad" button, can't be bothered to flag down, or can't run to another GY to avoid being camped, I don't have any sympathy for you. It's so ridiculously easy to avoid this.

The world might not revolve around RP, but the realm certainly does.

Or should. We are, after all, an RP realm. There needs to be something that separates us from a "Normal" realm.

Personally, Horde is no better than Alliance. If anything their performance in PvP over the years has been severely lacking in comparison to Alliance, but I do agree that short-term there has been a serious lapse in PvP on alliance since the core group of PvPers on this server left. That is what im trying to bring back before mists.

Zl's posts seem to imply otherwise, that said, RT's a rather varied bunch, I wouldn't be so quick to judge us from one person's actions or words.

That said, no one's forcing you to talk to us, and this thread was created in the hopes that both sides of the arguments could come to an agreement - which we seemed to be coming to.

Avarence, I think using phrases like "Razortalon scum" might be going a bit far, and certainly isn't helping the attempt at an accord that we're working for between our realm's PvP and RP contingents. I've met some Razortalons who are pretty neat people, and some who I probably wouldn't choose to be around much. To have that much diversity within one guild, particularly a Horde guild on a realm that heavily favors Alliance population-wise is honestly inspiring.

Yeah, from what I've seen, Zl is legitimately interested in working with both sides. Avarence, however, always seems to show up to dilute Zi's positive message with verbal diarrhea about crops and farming.

So, Zl: Thank you.
And Ava: Grow the !@#$ up.

Okay, what was originally an Rp vs PvP GENTLE debate thread is turning into... jeez, I don't even know what. It looks like a hell of a lot of "Avarence vs Raoul, Razortalons, and the Horde" for whatever reason, which if you ask me, isn't fair.

Avarence, I spend most of my time over with the Horde nowadays, and Raoul's an awesome person. Razortalons is a great guild full of good people, and doesn't deserve the prejudice. As for "Horde Crops," that's a generalization I personally don't approve of. It's a game, the Alliance-Horde prejudice is lore, not reality.

And to Raoul and Arothand, the best way to halt this argument is to stop arguing. It won't mean victory for the immature, matter of fact it shows that you're the more grown-up out of the group. Don't listen to a word Avarence says, you Razortalon folks are great, both in RP and in PvP.

Please don't ignore this comment, as I HOPE I've addressed a few points of maturity here. Zi, Rage, I'm sorry your thread got so derailed again, and hopefully it'll recover. Now, I bid this fantastic little forum war adieu.
