Setting Our Hearths in Org

We basically did what the title says, i have heard numerous rumors of tickets being opened. Also there was a lot of gibberish in horde chat about this being bannable. We definitely rustled some jimmies tonight thanks to kod and all those who participated.

People need to just relax. The fact that 40 people are going on a raid to have some fun, a raid that a majority of those people on their own would never have seen, overcomes a single person or two getting angry. I know the one run I came along on I saw at least a dozen people getting their Honorable Kill x1 achievement and That Takes Class. Those sorts of people would never have gotten to see such a thing if not for these raids. If anything Blizzard should be happy that world pvp is being brought back to the extent it is.

Don't you think if people are filing tickets, you're not getting the intended reaction--to get Horde to participate in a bit of world-PvP FUN?

Don't get so wrapped up in this manipulation that you completely bypass what you set out to do. Just a friendly note from World-PvP-loving Hordies; I won't say anything more.

If the horde don't like whats being done to their cities and leaders, transfer to alliance or a new realm.

You know, I'm typically inclined to leave e-peen-stroking threads alone, but in this case, Taynna, that's just flat-out inappropriate. You sincerely should apologize.

It's one thing to engage in some good-natured ribbing as it relates to world PvP; comments like that, and this thread in general, aren't doing anything to make the larger population of Cenarion Circle (the forum-active ones, anyway) want to engage in world PvP, it's just making them want to stay quiet and hope it goes away so they can go back to having relatively peaceful fun.

I don't care one way or the other about attacks on faction leaders; it's fun, it's a fully supported part of the game. What some players do with it in a social context is, however, sometimes deplorable, and that's the kind of behavior we're seeing now.

Stop it.

Taynna,

CC has always valued the high quality horde members we have. We may actively try to kill each other, but there is also a great amount of respect. We don't want them to transfer servers and we really don't want them feeling like they need to transfer alliance. If they want to roll an alli alt, that's great. Being told to transfer is just flat out rude.

Stop it.

I see nothing wrong with these two posts.

I do see something wrong with this post and the posts from Ragefang and Gentyl.

Fact: It doesn't matter that this is a PvE server. PvP can be done on it. If you dislike what is happening, then ignore it. Do not seek to change what others want to do, even if it is distasteful in some way to you. You only set yourself up to not only fail, but create more unnecessary drama.

That being said, stop complaining about it. Put in a ticket to report that PvP is happening and isn't stopping and move on. Remove yourself from any defense channels if the spam is bothering.

Literally, stop being children about it.

Quite frankly, Ragefang/Gentyl you guys are taking it a bit hard and you guys are the same faction as the attackers, get over yourselves, put us on ignore if the spam hurts. Don't play horde, its pvp its part of the game and for once us allies have the upper hand.

If you're offended by my post, Kod, then you mis-read the post. I'm one of the first people to encourage world PvP; much of my pre-modification character concept was oriented towards it via the War Council attacks on Horde locations in an attempt to drum up more Horde response in an RP fashion.

What I object to is someone telling people who don't want to PvP, or telling those who don't think it's beneficial to come onto our forum and start trash-talking (there's a line, and it doesn't need to be explained to anyone with the social development of at least a 12 year-old) to either transfer off or just faction change.

No one's complaining about hitting cities. Multiple times many of us have said we want the Horde to hit Alliance cities more, but we also realize that the Horde population on Cenarion Circle is less than half the Alliance population, and the regular RPers of that are even smaller (sadly).

This is sadly, however, once again showing the behavioral gulf between the stereotypical PvPer and stereotypical RPer, and that gulf is something folks like ZI, Gentyl, myself, and, to some extent, even you, Kod, have been trying to lessen. We want more RPers PvPing, and we would bend over backwards to help more PvPers RP.

Let me reiterate: the issue some in this thread have isn't that PvP is happening, it's the attitudes being displayed afterwards that are causing the problem.

Come join me on a PvP realm. We'll see how it turns out then.

With your gear, I don't think you should adopt the "I'm harcore!" standpoint... You'd be eaten alive on Mannoroth.

That's probably why I don't play there. Find me on CC and come at me.

Edit: also, my gear isn't that bad, the hell are you talking about?

Yeah...let's just say it wouldn't end well.
Legendary rogue vs undergeared, no enchants, bad ret.

Or Hpally...

Pretty sure you're not ending up on top, but that's for the judges to decide.

4 Pieces of ruthless.
No enchants.

Your Ret spec has divine storm.
Your Holy spec goes for the stun.

A "Hardcore" PvPer. You are not. I have a Hpally. Don't see 'nuthin special 'bout you.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be alone, seeing as I'm a healer and all.
And yeah, you said bad ret.

you are no longer able to speak.

Edit: I have a ret spec?

You just noticed I'm not "hardcore" ?

Ignore. Report. Move on.

Problem solved.

Also, the issue being talked about as far as wanting more PvP (via Horde hitting cities etc) is actually small. The main issue right now that MANY have (including many RPers on the Alliance side) is that the PvP being done in the For The Alliances is "griefing" or "unnecessary".

Take Yotingo's post for example. Apparently, from his perspective, the FTAs is not getting the intended reaction; however, what I've been seeing is from doing this numerous times is Horde getting a lot of people together to defend.

You can also refer to Imperon's guild website too for another example about the views being expressed concerning the World PvP as of late.

If I wanted to follow the train of thought that people like Yotingo have, then I'd conduct "War Councils" like you have. That, sadly, will NOT accomplish what it is that the majority of the Alliance is seeking.
