I'll be attending in one of my other outfits, hauling totems and a mischievous Scorchling that might light your pants on fire.
You have been warned.

((Gentyl, any idea on what time on the 11th this is going to be held?
Also, I vote for more bag/bank/void storage space. As the latter 2 are completely full of transmog gear, using all 22 slot bags >.>))

Thunderhowl. I think starting at 5 or 6 and going until whenever. Thank you for entering, sir.

*points at post jumping up and down* I told you I was not the only one and therefor not crazy! Well not totally anyway.
I will see if I can bump our 2nd raid somehow to see if the ones who entered can go. I know Avice and I really wanted to try. If not have fun everyone. *walks away mumbling something about being addicted to mog gear*

((It will probably start between 5-6. I'm still getting with people on the contest to see what works best. I really hope everyone can attend. It's a great opportunity to just relax. have some fun and get to know people.))

So many great entries, I don't envy the judges! Looking forward to being anti-social at the social event. Good luck all!

You better be. You always make our interviews fun rp events.

One of the prizes that we will be raffling off at the event is a Heroic Madness carry. I realize that this makes it hard to do for a Horde character. I'll have to ponder this in some more detail, but I suppose that depending on how people behave at the event we may even do a mount carry, which should be ok for Horde as well given that MoP is bringing account-wide mounts.

...*must buy all raffle tickets for the Heroic Madness mount.*

*Wonders if raid team would be mad at me for that.*

I'm not sure how we'll be doing the raffle yet, each raffle is probably just going to be a simple /roll. >_> Sorry Izby, nothing to buy. xD

But but but, if it's a buy raffles, we can put that money in the RP community to help with oh I don't know new RP guild warchests or whatever Gen mentioned earlier. I mean the intention is to buy them all with that wonderful prize money anyway. Otherwise I have no hope.

Seriously, RNG hates me unless I'm on Doli...

*switches to Dolingen for the roll*
/roll
Dolingen rolls a 100. Whippee!

Actually, I know this is a long shot, but just in case, could we possibly negotiate on that, because I'm thinking hRag might be totally worth seeing. Then there's that beautiful title that so few people have.

Now that you mention it, that isn't a bad idea to sell raffle tickets if all proceeds can go towards future RP events. I'm just concerned about people getting a feeling of inequity if they can't afford to buy as many tickets as someone else, or something like that.

I also liked the idea of "buying" raffle tickets with the proceeds either helping with the numerous prizes that are being awarded (it sounds like there will be a lot of them), and also to assist with the raising of money to support furthering the RP efforts on the server.

I also however agree with the concern of the inequity this can cause when there are people with a LOT of gold and others without. Maybe a good compromise is to set a higher raffle ticket cost say 1,000g or 2,000g per chance on the big ticket items like the Heroic Madness kill or mount, and smaller items going for less like 100-500g. Also, you could set a limit on the number of tickets (chances) each person could purchase (maybe limit it to 5 or 10) to eliminate the opportunity to just "buy" the prize by buying a large number of tickets???

I can see how selling tickets/opportunities could quickly turn into a logistical nightmare, but I bet if everyone put their heads together a solution could be found that would work for most participants. :)

It might limit incoming funds but capping one ticket, a decent price (1000G) would offset the cost of the carry and if 50 people bought them, all 50 people get equal chance, and that would be 50,000, which is roughly the cost of what it would be to "buy" into the run if I understand Warcraftier's sales anyways.

Hi Aislinana, I'm pretty sure Warcraftier is 100% donating (and gladly) this prize and will not receive the proceeds, unlike our DS service sales. Lerr can clarify further, but I don't believe it is our intention to make ANY money by offering this raffle prize. :)

This is correct. Any service we'd be donating for the purpose of the raffle is so that money is generated for the RP community.

No, I mean, it'd be a way to make it 100 percent fair for everyone who entered and still a high enough cost to make it a sizeable donation, all while being roughly equal to what the "cost" of such a service usually is. Sorry if I didn't clarify that I meant that to just indicate that it meant the process would be fair, equitable and also render a donation to the organization that was worth the time it took to render it!

That does bring up a good point Ais. Who would be managing the raffle, if it were to happen? I suppose I could do it but I'm not too comfortable with that, I'd prefer if someone in the RP community did since I wouldn't know where the funds would go anyway.
