You give money to Izby. I hold money and use for Warcraftier services. Or is it fund RPs. I forget which right course action. I do that one though. Promise.

Actually, the selling of tickets was simply my assumption. I think if we had spent more time planning it out to sell them, we could find a great solution that would make everything fair and legitimate. Unfortunately, since time is short and the idea is unplanned I'd simply suggest that for the time being that we go with simplicity for simplicity's sake and make them free tickets still.

That is unless Gen comes in and says hey brilliant idea Izby. I have RP community bank vault all lined up to hold those funds along with some other things. Then I'll gladly confess to the idea, allow the ego stroking, and walk very tall around Stormwind for an hour. Maybe two.

I see what you are saying Ais. While we hope the prize generates a lot of money for the RP community, we will be honored to do this for the lucky winner regardless of the amount raised.

Izby, I love your personality. :)

I have an idea, it may not be brilliant but it's an idea so I'm tossing it out there. The "raffle coordinator" (whoever that will be) could create a simple spreadsheet. For simplicity, let's assume we are selling each ticket (roll) for 1,000g with a maximum of five rolls per person. The spreadsheet would have seven columns for the name, total amount received, and the last five columns are to record the value of each roll.

The raffle coordinator would invite the first person in line into a group. Enter their name, the amount of money received, and record each roll right into the spreadsheet. Once the information was verified to be accurate, the group disbands and the process is repeated with the next person in line.

Once the time for the raffle was over, the coordinator would check the spreadsheet for the winning roll, and in the event of a tie, those people with the highest rolls would go back into a group with the coordinator and a roll-off would commence until there is a single winner.

Of course, like most raffles you would need to encourage all participants to stay in the vicinity in case a tie happens. The coordinator could upload the spreadsheet to GoogleDocs so those that wanted to verify the correctness of the data could.

Anyway, like I said, it may not be brilliant but it is an idea of one way it could be done and not be terribly daunting. :)

Then we are back to the roll gods, only this time it costs 1k gold to roll.

Please note important changes to Box social. It starts at 5:30 in the Argent covered arena. We can summon people who have difficulty getting there.

We'd like horde to participate in the box social. We will hire a translator so everyone can hear the auction, but each faction will have to bid on their own lunches as we can't share food. Of course, if someone doesn't care about that, they are welcome to buy the lunch and pretend to have lunch with their cross faction partner.

Also note all money generated from horde sales will go to horde rp. It will be given to a horde guild to disperse, probably Da Doctas if they are agreeable.

Aren't raffles usually decided by roll but the # of tickets you purchase simply increases your statistical chances of winning? The gold "buy in" is to generate a donation.

Ais. Some what, yes. It is luck that determines what number is pulled from the bucket of tickets. Randomness if you prefer, although RNGs are anything but. The # of tickets increases the probability that you will win. The gold would also be considered a donation buy in as well yes. The idea of capping the buys is to prevent any 1 individual from dropping say 100k on tickets to ensure they win, because the idea isn't to do a fund raiser so much as it is to hand out gifts for attending the beautiful ceremonies that is Pia is awesomesauce week. The fund raising would simply be done to help the community and reunite people in a way. Especially since so much garbage is floating down our stream. Silly litterbugs. They built doors to check your attitudes at, doesn't mean break it down and throw it away.

That reminds me. I need to go get like 1000g worth of fireworks from the DMF people. I hear they get splashy and make a brilliant show, when you fire them off in an all at once affair. heh heh. Poor San Diego.

Oh, and thank you Alexanne. I appreciate the compliment. Although, you have no idea how goofy I make her. You should ask Gen to sit in on an interview. Oh, that's fun.

Now vote Izby for awesomest tmog, so I can plop 100k on raffle tickets so I can ask to change my heroic madness to heroic rag. Yes. Firelord Izby! Everyone be afraid. *burns self on the way out the door* Owwwwie. *runs to nurse's office*

I'm confused. So, what sort of thing is happening to handle the attendance prizes? I need to know so I can figure out what sorts of services we can donate.

You can ignore me Lerrielin. All of my posts are my sublimal advertising attempts to get you and the other judges to vote Izby for the tmog contest. All other prizes are secondary to Vote Izby messages. heh heh.

Aside from seriousness though, I think it's up to you, Alexanne, and Gentyl. Maybe get with her in game and see what she wants. I'm just a lowly peon in the massive cog machine some gnome built for Pia that raids. Vote Izby.

I think I forgot to mention. Vote Izby, but just in case I didn't Vote Izby. heh heh. Okay, I'm seriously going to stop now, because I'm starting to sound like that commercial Head On.

That is entirely up to you. Pia will handle the Box Social and hire translators. Whatever else you wish to do is entirely your decision. This is your event. Make it easy on yourself. I think Warcraftier has gone above and beyond the call of duty to put this contest on, so whatever makes it easiest should be fine.

Also, in case you all haven't, please do take time to thank warcraftier for doing this. It's a remarkably generous effort in many ways.

The engineers assure me the Argent arena floor has been properly reinforced, so there will be no party crashing by Anub'arak.

Rumor has it he wanted to attend, but...lets face it, Nerubian fashion went out before the Third War.

I spoke to Jean last night who is going to visit with Oskor to see if they would receive the funds generated from the horde lunches. Da Doctas is one of the oldest and most respected rp guilds on the server, so they would be an ideal choice.

Hopefully, they will also be able to furnish a horde auctioneer and some people to handle raffle tickets for the horde grand prize raffle drawing...which is pure awesome. We may also need some back up horde volunteers. So, if you are willing to help with this event, please let me know.

If you all haven't thanked Warcraftier, please do. No one realizes how hard they have worked to put this event together. It is mind boggling.

Thank us by showing up with your friends and family and partaking in the events. >_> While box lunches and raffle tickets will be sold, box lunches are also RP events whereas raffles are solely 100% proceeds towards server RP. We've got major huge prizes for both Alliance and Horde plus a ton of smaller (small is relative here, small ticket items will still be worth a few thousand on the AH) prizes. :)

Thank you, Warcraftier and everyone working so hard to organize. I don't think I've looked forward to an RP event on this server like this for a while, and i'm pleased as punch all the support will give us more events to look for in the future

A reminder this event is tomorrow. Horde box social people should send letters to Abominus describing the box your lunch is in. Make it creative. Have fun with it. This is for a good cause.

Alliance members send the letters to me and I will give them to the auctioneer. Please don't wait until the last minute or we won't have time to get the letters.

This event is open to everyone. It's a server wide invitation. Invite your friends.

The Awards will be announced first and the raffle drawings. Then we will hold the box social.

If you entered, please wear your outfit to the event. We will start off with a parade of entries. Then we will have awards.

If I can find enough translators, I'll be bidding. If not, I'll be translating. Either way, this sounds fun!

I plan to show with all dresses and show how magical transformation as one became other became next. I think this impress everyone and maybe they let Izby eat cake with them. They think 'Izby so flashy and neat, I be Izby's friend.' Then I find out I only one who can do job and it must be done. I so mad now. Miss out on all the food, fireworks, and dress prizes. No raffle tickets either and I had such plans for them. I think, I use raffle tickets people not need to make a tree show how Izby can teach them to be like the craft lady. Martha whatever her name. I also think I entertain with snow sculptures that run around and relate stories to people as people talking. Now I not able do these things. I feel bad. Want to attend, but not able.

You eat extra piece of cake for Izby and tell me it super delicious? I appreciate that. Hope everyone has time so good. Not let maggot king get stuff in the cake.

*Deposits a never melt ice sculpture of a dragon that breathes fire and walks around in Gentyl's mailbox for the event with a note saying, 'It light fireworks and do backflips.'*

I plan to show up at 5:00, however what is the specific start time for this event? I've got a few volunteers that would be willing to help with various staffing duties, but I'm not sure when we've agreed to officially start?
