Hmph.

Odd. Trap should have gone off.

Poor Zed. So lonely in the basement.

For quoting English Lit, you sure are a man of few words.

I technically didn't quote English lit, I was more referring to a joke we had in my English Lit class (like... 15 years ago) that when all else fails, answer "Beowulf", since everything we read was basically the same thing - Chauncer, King Aurthur, Brave New World... and I don't remember what else.

And it's not the number of words you use, but how you use them. See the "42" answer.

/better smart<not sure if the word'd get me banned> than dumb<same three letter suffix>

Moonlight

[[Kalico: #13 A child asks you how the moon was created on a clear, starry night. ]]

Children are remarkable for their intelligence and ardor, for their curiosity, their intolerance of shams, the clarity and ruthlessness of their vision.
~ Aldous Huxley

Young Mordua Boldvalor balanced on the very edge of the wooden bridge in the Valley of Honor. The clockwork parts within her pale blue eyes whizzed lightly as her eyes narrowed as she caught sight of something stirring behind her. She let out a ferocious roar as she turned to face the intruder but much to her surprise there was no one there. Her fingers found the small nicks on the large spike at her side, the tiny ef picked at it as she circled around trying to find the prowler.

"Everything alright Mordua?" The redheaded matriarch eyed the girl curiously.

"Yah."

Kylea let out a soft chuckle before turning her attention to the parchment. "I won't be long sweetie, just need to finish these things."

The girl stretched out her arms, muttering a quick answer to her mother before twirling around. It was then that she caught sight of the intruder. A faint outline stretched over the wooden planks, following Mordua's every movement. Her lips curled up into a smile as she proceeded to dash and jump and flail around, the shadow mimicking everything the girl did. "Shahdou," she mumbled, dropping to her knees as she touched the darkened area.

"Mordua?" The knight crossed over to the girl, a puzzled look on her face as she found the toddler softly tapping on the planks. "What are you doing?"

"Dis shahdou," the girl explained, a slight tone of exasperation in her voice. "Where it come from?"

Kylea knelt by the girl, grabbing her by her arms and pulling her to her feet. "Well it came from the moon," she explained as she wiped her daughter's knees clean.

"Is the moon like Aponi?"

The knight blinked, "no sweetie, Aponi is a tauren." She took the girl in her arms, pointing up to the full moon. "That is the moon."

A shriek of panic left the girl as she hugged her mother. "MOMMY THERE'S A GIANT ROCK IN DA SKY!"

"Shhh," the knight pressed a lone finger against her lips, "you're going to scare Garrosh."

"Who makes'd it?" The girl inquired.

"The moon?" Kylea pressed a kiss to the girl's forehead as the little one gave a nod. "That is Mu'sha sweetie. You know, you're a lot like her. You know why?"

"Why you call me fat?" The girl cried in protest.

"No no, you see Mu'sha has a twin brother, An'she. You know the sun right?" The girl nodded in reply, "that big bright sun ins An'she. And just like you and your bubba, they like playing. You know what game they play?" The redhead's answer came as a rapid headshake from her daughter, "they chase each other, but Mu'sha is too fast for An'she. That's why when you close your eyes at bedtime by the time you open them An'she is out."

The girl let out a rather large gasp for one her size, "that fast?"

Kylea gave a faint nod, "that fast."

And with that mother and daughter set off to their Orgrimmar rental. The child knowing who Mu'sha was and the woman more in love with the girl.

In 1966, mathematician Paul Cooper theorized that the fastest, most efficient way to travel across continents would be to bore a straight hollow tube directly through the Earth, connecting a set of antipodes, evacuate it (remove the air), and then just fall through. The first half of the journey consists of free-fall acceleration, while the second half consists of an exactly equal deceleration. The time for such a journey works out to be 42 minutes. Remarkably, even if the tube does not pass through the exact center of the Earth, the time for a journey powered entirely by gravity always works out to be 42 minutes, as long as the tube remains friction-free, as while gravity's force would be lessened, so would the distance traveled at an equal rate.

This is just one of many reasons why 42 is the answer to everything. :P

While enjoying your time at an inn, some one attempts to pick pocket you then blame it on someone else! The nerve!

The tip of her middle finger dragged down the corner of her mouth as her lips hung parted, the woman’s eyes narrowed as they stared through strangers she passed. Sleep evaded her, and irritation birthed tension throughout her entire body. The Knight strode though the city with a purposeful gait, not slowing even as she took the short deck of stairs that led into the Wyvern’s Tail. As she entered, her eyes set on the barkeep.
